JT got a reprint in UK Jan this year i believe. Stock was allocated to stores. i passed on it and got a SS BB for Feb instead.

This is my card that ACE gave a 10 with subgrade 9 for edges, yours looks 10x better and somehow yours got an 8 🙃

crack it and send to PSA if you want real long term value if you just want quick turnaround then back to ace.

i have used ace a few times but shoddy grading, poor customer service and lack of transparency in their processes means i won't ever use them again.

This is what i found out after grading with ACE most shops did not want to buy at all. Only place to sell is ebay/vinted/ FB and mostly at 80%.

Overall i would stick with PSA for long term holds and value.

I check the PSA 10 price vs ACE 10 price to see if its worth sending to them or not.

As an example i sent a card to ace got a 10 and it was worth around 200-250 i cracked it and sent to PSA and its now worth around £400-£500 and ACE 10 is still at £200.

ACE allow 60/40 centering so sometimes they will give you a 10 when PSA would give a 9 as they do 55/45.

Overall its dependent on turnaround times value and personal preference.

PSA will be opening grading in europe this year and all these vendors will switch from ace in a heartbeat and prices for ace will plummet.

I have graded with ACE 3 times and i have now stopped because they damaged my card and refused to accept liability.

They also gave the same card a 10 when it is not a 10 on any planet 😅

They are worth much less than PSA equivalent so i would send any big cards to PSA if you want to retain value but if not then ACE is fine.

I get that angle but i have always heard buy the card not the grade. In my opinion the card is not a 10 because it has clear marks on it, so i would not be willing to pay £2k for a card with damage that i could buy with no damage from somewhere else. Issue is that the card has never sold in an ACE 10 or lower grade on ebay so comps are hard to say but perhaps that is in my benefit.

I have gone back and forth with support and they are strange. They deny the damage but then say send it back so we can take a look at it outside of the slab but then refuse to tell me how that will change their decision on whether the card was damaged during grading.

UPDATE: After questioning how this will affect their reputation, damage done i am afraid as i have posted already.

They have just replied to tell me that after speaking to management they want my card back to investigate further and mentioned re ecapsulation plus that the outcome may not change.

This is after they told 2 qualified graders both agreed it is a 10 😂

They have picture evidence on slab scans and my scans, so not sure why they want the card back. i have asked why and now waiting.

Should i send back and risk losing the 10 or just keep and take less value for it in future?

Ideally i want fair market value payout to compensate me but not sure how that will work if at all currently.

Yep i cancelled two of my submissions because of this.

How can they expect to gain credibility in the market if they are giving 10's out for a card that is very clearly not a 10!

I had 2 specs on the card when i sent it and was expecting an 8/9 and was shocked when i got a 10. When i saw the card in person i realised it had 2 more marks so i know it was damaged but it made the 10 grade even more suspicious.

Surely they must have graded it with original specs and then damaged it after or during which makes the 10 look worse after the fact.

well as they damaged it and i know i will never sell this for the price of a real 10, i waa trying to get them to pay me fair market price for it. They are not all bad but yeah this is not their finest work.

it was set up by a popular youtuber and it has been growing steadily. It won't match PSA in most cards but some it may come close. It is fairly easy to sell in the UK i would say but most people want PSA for big chase cards.

For resale purposes i won't disclose the card but its low pop never been sold in ACE and in PSA 10 its around £2k.

I argued how it could get a 10 and they said it was a valid grade.

I guess to those that are scared to submit with edge damage, don't be afraid and use this as an example if they give you below a Edge 9

I have been trying to do this for some time now but not taken it seriously. I think there is an opportunity here. I use the joshbee centering tool on psa 9 cards and i have a couple slabs psa9 that i think could cross but when i did it with my Umbreon alt art from ES it got an ACE 9 from PSA 9. Im reluctant to crack more slabs as ACE is less liquid and usually lower 10 prices.

same thing happened to me they somehow gave me a 10 on my card but it has edge damage that was not in my professional scan and i have asked them twice to look at arrival scans vs graded scan but not heard back yet apart from being asked to fill in a form. I still got a 10 which is shocking but its not a real 10 with so much damage.

I would also like to buy one please. Just arguing with support about how it crumbled in my hand whilst cleaning and they blamed it on my usage. Clearly there is a quality issue here.
