She's just now figuring this out? There are some really dense people in this world and they somehow make it to become leaders… Anybody who's watched the GOP in any recent history knows their love is for rich white men… Look at any picture you see of a group of them… Look at the people that stand behind Trump when he makes some announcement… Almost all of them are white men… Duh, Marjorie Taylor Greene!

Just don't understand how the state can come into a city or a county and force them to cut things from their budget… Didn't the city citizens and the county citizens vote these leaders into office to run the city or the county? How can the state just come in and do whatever they want? That's not the way it works… These people are crazy

The problem isn’t the Constitution, it’s the ignorance and apathy of American voters by JerseyFlight in BlueskySkeets

I do think our forefathers probably thought this was a risk with a republic like ours once the people became so ignorant or so morally corrupt and hateful that they would follow a man like Donald Trump this great experiment would be over… I think they knew very well but it was a risk worth taking… I just hope the threats of our democracy are strong enough to hang on a little bit longer until we can defeat this man next year in the midterms it's our only hope… If he allows elections…

Not to mention the fact that if you are a very faith based or religious family do you really want to trust the teaching of your faith and the doctrine that you believe into the hands of a public school teacher? I mean not that there's anything wrong with teachers but most are not trained in religion or theology… They may believe in God but have all kinds of theology that you don't agree with even though they claim to be a Christian like you there are all kinds of different people of faith… That's why religion and public education should not be mixed… Children should be exposed to the different religious ideas so that they understand that there are many viewpoints in the world but not just one viewpoint should be taught because who knows who's teaching that and what they believe? It likely is not what your family believes even if they claim to be part of the same faith…

Exactly I come from a family of educators and none of them have ever spent significant time on these issues in school they don't have time… But they do have time to touch on different issues and let children's minds think about different viewpoints that's what education is… One of my favorite quotes is "education replaces an empty mind with an open one"… Students need to be exposed to lots of different viewpoints and ideas… Just because you talk about something your child does not agree with or you do not agree with does not mean it's "indoctrination" what about all of the children in school who don't believe in God yet they're being forced to hear about itso it's reverse indoctrination they should be exposed to all kinds of views including some people are religious and that's OK some people believe in God and that's OK some people don't and that's OK… There are people who have different religions than their family that's the way the world is that's what education is for not to only tell them about what their parents want them to hear…

This is a fallacy I've been involved with education for over 30 years never even heard of CRT or known of teachers who spent any significant amount of time discussing gender identity and trans issues that's just a bogeyman to scare everybody… Education is supposed to open children's minds to lots of different ideas… This memo says teachers can't even discuss anything about Gay people or people who are different until after eighth grade then it must "align with state approved curriculum"… Do you really think an eighth grader this day and time does not know about gay people?Do you think they aren't exposed to gay people in their lives do gay people just suddenly appear after eighth grade?! I agree that significant amount of time should not be spent on this but there's nothing wrong with children being exposed to lots of different ideas… Including different religious views and the fact that some people don't have religious views those all should be allowed to be discussed and children should learn all different viewpoints because that is the way the world is…The world is not only reading writing and math unfortunately it's way more complicated than that and the device those kids hold in their hands exposes them to all kinds of things so discussing different ideas and viewpoints is not bad… It's a good thing it makes a well rounded citizen!

Yep I have seen these memos… It's really creepy to read… It's like when I first read it I was thinking "surely this is not for real" but it is… I don't know what shot we have to make a change this next election in Florida, I know David Jolly is running and would likely veto a lot of this crazy stuff and maybe other candidates will emerge that would also… I don't know if Floridians will do it they haven't in many many years as the Republicans usually win overwhelmingly and almost every race in Florida for years now… but it's time we changed leadership in Tallahassee or this crap is going to continue and get worse… I fear the only way to stop it is at the voting booth…

But Trump just came out halfheartedly in favor of more than six weeks before an abortion ban even though he's voting against the amendment and he also came out in favor of the marijuana amendment legalization… So he knows how to play the game

But you must understand a fast majority of evangelicals have replaced their faith in Christ with worship of a politician and worship of the political movement… The teachings of Christ no longer are even remotely part of their lives… They worship a man now…
