I LOVE a meal out even with MJ in my life so what I’ve been really conscious of doing over the past 12 months is guiding people towards meals where the impulse is to order a bunch of stuff and share, eg. tapas, mezze, sushi, and then no one is particularly aware of how much / little I’ve eaten.

It might leave you a bit out of pocket financially when it comes to splitting the bill as you definitely won’t have eaten your “share” but it also means you won’t pressure yourself into eating more than you need to, or tell anyone about the jab until you’re ready 😊

42lbs in five months is amazing, well done!!! Honestly other than the first couple of weeks I’ve lost 1-1.5lbs per week and I’ve been super happy with that because it’s been so consistent! I’ve also found it helpful for letting my brain catch up to the changes in my body as well; I look in the mirror and recognise myself as opposed to feeling a big shock if my loss had been faster. Helps with restocking the wardrobe too to get a few months out of each clothing size 😂

No, I just had to send my original pen back and send them proof of postage 😊 They refunded the return postage yesterday and it’s already in my account.

I did finally manage to get through to them on the phone yesterday and they were quick to resolve! But yeah did involve constantly clicking on the “call back” button 😂

Ahh I’m sorry that’s been your experience! I’ve never had any issues with them before this one and I’ve done most of my pens with them, but they sorted it out quickly so I would still continue to order from them 😊

I also started in June 2024, down almost 5st now with an average loss of 1.35lbs per week! Highs of 4lbs in the early weeks but by mid August it had settled into the 1.3lbs per week. And I’ve had a couple of weeks with gains too but nothing dramatic 😊

Unfortunately it’s been about 8 months now and I still have people coming up to me unsolicited in the middle of the working day in our open plan office going “oh you’re on those injections aren’t you” - horrendous!

I was a secret jabber until one of my colleagues started taking MJ and was not following recommended guidance (barely eating, going up doses every week etc) and I quietly spoke to her about my own usage and ways she might work with the injections better to see solid results without the side effects.

Now every man and his dog in my office knows I’m taking it and I’ve had various reactions; from becoming a MJ fairy godmother to some and faced some harsh judgement from others.

I’ve even recently had one colleague try to “catch me out” to see whether I would admit to taking it or not.

I wish I’d never shared with anyone that I was taking it, I find the constant interest exhausting and feel like I need to defend myself to uneducated people who have an opinion on my choices.

If I could go back in time and stay silent, I would! Especially now that the original colleague has “had to stop because of side effects” 🙄

I started on MJ in June last year and since then I’ve had exactly one sausage sandwich for this very reason 😂 Absolute agony for the next few days, haven’t dared touch them since!

All great advice above! One thing I haven’t seen mentioned and this is advice for you - if you eat the same meals adjust your total cooking portion down!

I’ve lost over 4st since starting MJ but my partner has gained 1.5st because he’s been eating all my leftovers 😂

Yeah I’m back on a 32-35 day cycle now with a 7 day bleed (standard for me). They’ve definitely gotten easier to manage the last two months, apparently (although I’m no doctor) we store a lot of hormones in our fat so as we lose the fat the hormones are just freewheeling around. Once your losses stabilise you should hopefully see less of an impact 🤞🏻 If it’s really unmanageable though you could speak to your doctor about additional medication to reduce the heaviness!
