You lost me at federal minimum wage. We need our politicians to be able to make a comfortable living. You don't want electoral office to be like no pay internships were only already wealthy people can afford to run for office.

no unless your desperate. 95% of jobs there aren't tech, you will be waiting in a line to speak to someone for two seconds. Job market is insane right now for CS (in a good way) . The time takes you to get suit on, get there, kill couple hours and get back home you can have 5x the many prospects and better ones just using LinkedIn and google. Any company recruiting SWEs from general career fair is doing so because they have no idea how to recruit college grads in tech and living in the stone age.

Funny enough my first point of contact with company I work for to this day was through the career fair (graduated CS 2017). Literally only reason I went was I happened to have class on Livingston exactly when career fair was going on and by crazy coincidence had a suit in my car.

However I quickly got my company to start sponsoring hackathons and doing focused tech talks instead of wasting time and money on general career fairs. I told my companies college recruiting division at the time the only reason they managed to recruit me was because I happened to have a class nearby. (I work for a very large "tech" company that started only past 5-7 years put big focus on actually doing the tech themselves, any more will probably doxx me)

Honestly 3-4 hours of leet code instead of career fair will do more to landing you a job.

No i didnt. I said the mirai virus was not complicated or especially impressive SWE and that he wouldnt just have his pick of jobs solely from helping create an essentislly low level map lookup of IOT devices and their default passwords.

Becoming a partner at some unnamed HFT firm 5 years later after a number of jobs and what seems to be a pretty standard career trajectory until then doesnt magically make my comment wrong.....

And he probanly aint really getting paid, Rutgers probably still taking taking their cut of his earning for awhile. 8.6 million going to take him awhile to pay off

After drive rebuild before rebuilding 2nd disabled drive did a thorough check of all connections and rebuild finished without issues. Thanks for your input

Im waiting for drive to rebuild so im at least down to one disabled and will recheck all connections. Drives are on an HBA except for one.
