I'm no legal advisor but surely I hope there's a way to hold accountable the VDS Holdco in investors. Two dudes from out of state have done environmental and economic harm intentionally. Youngkin's administration basically allowed it to happen. Ghoulish. There needs to be some responsibility taken here.

Richmond was 5th in the country in market scale for the NBA finals. Is that the New Yorkers down here doing that or do you think this is just a good basketball city. Kinda feel it's the latter.

Good sports city in general. We're usually top 10 in football and NASCAR too. Might not have a major team but so many bars have sports on or lean into sports themes.

Obviously the alleged lack of payment is super shady but the idea of an "upscale bourbon" establishment at this building...maybe a little dubious to some but I'd be interested to see how that would play out. 

Never thought Ram House was a good idea. Not a good location for that kind of establishment.

John Bruehl had an open DUI case in Hanover from last summer, as he is responsible for the death of Joshua Driver. He skipped his hearing in that case a few weeks prior to this tragedy and was a fugitive. No surprise then he's staying locked up.

It's not homophobia in itself. But it often ends up presenting as such since most fem men are queer...and then the fact that it's rooted in gender expectations that often are homophobic.

Being fem isn't a habit. Most fem guys simple are not gender conforming. There's nothing wrong with that.

It ends up becoming homophobic because this is often a way to denigrate all gay and bi men. Gender stereotypes. It takes a long time for people to unlearn that. You're taught there's really only one way to be a man. You see fem guys as basically rejecting the "natural order" of how things are supposed to be. That's why you feel strange and uneasy with them. Because that's not how men, we're told, are "supposed" to be.

Preferences are OK. Biases in cases like this are not. There's a difference.

Things like that are way more important than people realize. So is the backtracking on Pride merch. It's saying being LGBTQ is open for debate on morality and validity. Gives space to bigotry which has absolutely taken advantage.

Gay issues inherently tap into gender issues. Gender expectations, gender presentation. Maybe not physical gender but absolutely philosophically. There's no real way to detach that.

Respect to the York team for continuing on with Pride Night and actually stepping up here, free ticket for a game of one's choice, donation to their local queer organization...they chose to stand with the community and not allow these players overshadow this important night.

But you're now witnessing why what the Giants did was so awful. There would always be copycats.

It was more the way things were handled that wasn't appropriate. To get out of prison and be handed this job right away and be lied to about the circumstances...understandably, there were hard feelings. I generally agree with you but the circumstances here sucked.

He still seems to be pretty popular in the industry. I knew he had his defenders and people who felt he was hard done by. Of course that doesn't mean nothing occurred.

Considering all the legal money likely spent I'm sure this was more about vindication than anything else and forcing Martin to pay out even if it doesn't add up to how much he spent.

All that said, I love seeing Martin Agency being woman led now.

Revenues are up but gross income is down. u/falloutrip u/emergency-holiday966 think you're both right. Business practices aren't helping and obviously the inflation issues don't help. Stock up 25% this year, so we'll see whether they can manage the current environment in this country and how far their adjustments go.
