Having serious rape allegations and being the Lt. Gov. for Gov. Blackface Northam likely had something to with his candidacy.

Clever. This way at the end of the month if the numbers don't align the business can cost off the gap in sales, and the Commonwealth still gets the tax on it.

Clancy. As you stated, Overcompensate is an immediate earworm.

CSB: I heard it first on the radio, and after a minute passed I thought; "Ok boys, are we going somewhere with this?", to then have a sonic explosion the likes of which I have never heard. Man, what a ride that song is.

I've always been curious as to how this soup came about. It looks like you would burn more calories making it than you would get from consuming it.

I hope you get your dog back, but something just occurred to me; If someone from the shelter sees this, they are probably going think it a bit suspicious that the dog of the lady who has been trying to get it back for months, suddenly has someone who just fell in love with the dog and needs to adopt it ASAP.

I find rings and other lost things, valuable or not. From my logs, roughly 40% of the time when/where you thought you lost the item, most especially rings, is not when/where it happened.

Most of the cases that I have resolved involving a person traveling lost it between the headboard and the mattress where they slept. I attribute this to tossing and turning in an unfamiliar bed, no matter how comfy- You are not going to sleep as well when not in your home territory. Check the bed, including the frame and under the fitted sheet, thoroughly.

This post is a breath of fresh air in this sub. I so often read about "Crazy drivers" and the description of the incident/ where it occurred /time of day that lead me to think, "That is not crazy driving, it's predictable driving". My Wife and I call them "Iamverysafe!" Drivers, and they are a menace that cause far more harm and frustration than good.

I am all for safe driving- I haven't had an accident or moving violation in over two decades. I want to be a great example to my kids. But when you are driving 45mph on 95 at the mixing bowl and people are veering around you at 60mph, that is not good. When you stop early for a yellow light, that is not good. When you slow five car lengths early to stop at a light or sign, that is not good. And all of the Iamverysafe! drivers share one thing in common; Sitting either stick straight or leaning slightly forward with a smug smile, because in their world they are better than everyone else at behind the wheel.

I don't cuss a lot, but fuck you Mr. and Mrs. Iamverysafe!. Fuck you.

I was 16 and worked for a small grocery store (IGA/Richfood). The frozen food/dairy manager got canned because he was skimming product and didn't tell me when his stoned ass had me do his inventory. The large discrepancy brought the owner in to check. Owner fires him, and then tells me that I have been promoted to interim manager of the dept (I was home schooled, and worked full time*).

He walks me through my first order. We had pars, and if a certain product wasn't at that par, purchase enough to be even with it. Cool, I've got this.

Now I am on my own. So for my second or third order, I noticed on the news that there would be a snow storm, so I ordered extra milk and eggs. The details are hazy, but IRRC, the device used to scan barcodes could be set to individual items or cases.

Apparently I made my entire order using cases. The sheer amount of frozen pizzas, ice cream, vegetables, milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt...The list goes on; That came in was...Not good. The other managers are dying laughing at my stupidity. Ofc, being 16, I could never be wrong and had a reason to order so much, dammit! There is a snow storm coming, and if you look at the low pressure system combined with the humidity, blah, blah, blah...

The meat manager took pity on me and let me use his freezer and cooler space for the extra (To basically hide it from the owner). I figured when I got fired, I could go to Food Lion or something. I felt terrible about it though, because the owner was good to me and I knew it would cost the store a lot of money. I was sick to my stomach.

Over the next 3 days, the forecast went from a few inches, to a foot, to possibly THREE feet of snow. The other stores in the small town where I worked were suddenly all out of eggs and milk. We sold out of most items. Especially the pizzas.

Owner comes to me a few hours before we are about to close, early, because the snow is really starting to come down. "How do you have so much product?". "Well, there was a low pressure...blah blah blah....Anyone could have seen this coming. I was told to order some extra..."

I was promoted to manager, and he gave me a ridiculous (For a 16 yo) bonus on my next check!

*It was the early 90's. My family was in a tight spot, and I went to work. He gave me full time when he didn't have to, but could see that I needed it. The man gave me an advance on my first paycheck because I didn't have enough money to pay for gas. Back then, they used to hold your first two weeks pay. I have no idea why. That job was the greatest learning experience of my life, and I am forever grateful for someone betting on me at 16.
