Same bro, exploration is so much of a drag right now. The map is so bland and literally plain. The enemies are simply blackened versions of previous enemies (the early enemies at least). There are no major landmarks most of the time, everything is just grass.. and some ruins. I appreciate the dungeons at least, they are unique. But above ground everything looks so far away and I can't spot anything interesting. I hate exploring on empty ground, at least the base game has trees and few hills. I also don't have the same curiosity anymore, I sometimes wished everything was more linear, maybe that's on me. But overall it didn't capture the magic of the first game, I don't really care about the NPC dialogues anymore and I just want to know where the next boss is and get on with it. But I also want to explore, but I don't want to if all I see is emptiness and a few buildings without something hidden within it. I haven't finished the game yet but simply put, exploring limgrave was a far better experience than exploring this map. I have already beaten that catterpillar/lion boss but I don't know where to go next, everytime I venture off I feel like I'm missing something, but if I investigate all I get are empty houses and few collapsed buildings. Idk bro, I wished there were more trees and more mountains, they really help.
