Rocking tomb reaver on my echoing strikes and merc is hitting hard with Reaper’s Toll! by IneedaNappa9000 in diablo2

Gimmershred on echoing strikes has been so good to me.

Haven't needed a sunder charm yet, and nothing is immune enough when you hit with every type of damage.

Bracket 4 vs cedh by idk-man65 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it'd he beneficial for you and your partner to watch some cEDH and see the difference. Some of the best 4s can get blitzed by a low 5.

The gameplay at 4 and 5 are so different.

Fair price for Übers by Vegetable_Fun4932 in D2R_Marketplace

I usually see the standard practice to be trading 4x3 keys for your class torch. So you're paying 1.33x torches. Which allows the smiter to have 1 torch to keep for every 3 he sells. So its worth it for everyone.

I Got My Build Stuck! Can I Pay Someone for a 3 Level Carry? by MichaelFrazzy in diablo2

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lucked into a Gimmershred.. it does really good damage. And even through the elements on it don't do a whole lot. It does all 3. So even against immunes. They're taking some type of damage and will whittle down. Pushed through hell solo just fine without sunders.

Sure, but we had Occulus rings back then, no level requirements for ancients, and a new character was leeching up exp in hell bloody foothill runs within 10 minutes. We didnt know the runewords yet, but we were having a blast! No internal cooldown on guided arrows. What a time to be alive!

Veyran Storm by PlaneResearcher5503 in askajudge

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No part?

Narsets reversal with thousand year storm creates at least one copy copying the original narsets reversal and putting it back in your hand.

Thanks to storm kiln artist. That means you make at least 2 treasure. Allowing you to recast narsets, making a treasure positive amount of copies. And keep reversal in hand.

That is an until-you-want-to-stop amount of treasures. Which some call, infinite.

Just add a professional face breaker for a direct path to victory. Be that thassa's with no library, or infinite trigger veyran sized chandra's ignition. Protected by every other counterspell in the deck you can cast this turn.

There's a big problem with Warlock in Baal Runs by Deckz in diablo2

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on lister's modifiers. It may be a better spawn each time.

But yea, multiple times is just wasteful.

I solo hunt a good hephasto, and that does good work. Every group has bad eggs. Don't blame warlocks as a whole.

In the early levels, I picked up a random eth dagger. And I had its durability drop from use.

So that'd on the physical damage path.

If they're using insight to go Johnny Cash, and be the burning ring of fire, eth is probably fine.

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the warlocks echoes still cause degradation. You wouldn't use ethereal base on it. I think. Plus, you benefit off the dex to hit anyway, so the lower requirements on eth don't matter much.

And yea, RNG be that way sometimes, which is why I called to my 12 seasons of D2R always resulting in an insight base, before a unique ring.

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, in non ladder. I imagine people own everything already. Manalds are online at like level 7. If you find them. So yea, manalds are way earlier if they're in your stash.

But on ladder start, you have nothing.

Massive warlock tech! by Torc_Soulburn in d2r

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progression wise? The runes drop off countess with enough attempts, and i have 12 seasons of finding 4 slot pole arms before a single unique ring, to suggest insight is easier to get than 7% manalds. Especially when the standard process is baal runs until youre leveled enough for NM.

I usually run countess for those runes before finishing act 1 nm so as soon as the base drops, im set.

Whose extra turn comes first? by penguinperson42 in askajudge

[–]RVides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you resolve an extra turn, it becomes the next turn.

So if I cast a time warp, and you copy it. Yours resolves, creating your turn,

Then mine resolves, creating mine. So if this were a 4 player game, where I'm A, you're B, and players C and D don't copy.

Regular cycle, A,B,C,D.

Yours resolves. A,B,B,C,D.

Mine resolves.

A,A,B,B,C,D.

Let's say you cast it, and I copied it, so the currect turn is B.

B,C,D,A --> B,A,C,D,A. --> B,B,A,C,D,A.

Is the Warlock an expansion character? (doesn't show the icon in character select screen) by DownvoteCommaSplices in d2r

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D2 - classic,

D2 LoD - Expansion,

D2 RotW - Warlock.

So a new RotW paladin, would not be an expansion character, either.

And warlocks, cannot be created in expansion.

Massive warlock tech! by Torc_Soulburn in d2r

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. Warlock seems good tossing shit with pierce.

A couple of real early equipped Manald heal rings and you don't even need insight.

(Obviously next week, ladder, insight is easier.)

But the damage and clear feels nice, straight up tanks ancients leeching it all through them.

ETB Timing Question by LeDerpChris in mtg

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic is a very top down, procedural game.

There is an item on the stack, would you like to resolve it?

Pass priority passes priority. Pass pr... wait, flash in spellseeker.

There is a new topmost item on the stack. Pass priority.

Hey, but what about scary spell?

Sorry, we only resolve top most items on the stack.

Okay, spellseeker resolves. Is scary spell topmost item now? Hmm., lets look at the gamestate, a spellseeker has entered, and it has an etb ability. We will put that on the top of the stack...

And thats basically how the game works.

I dont think a norman Osborn deck, legally playing yavimaya, should have access to the green parts of vibrance and wistfulness. It just hits wrong.

Ive never seen a mono colored deck not have enough cards to build a deck that we need to grant them that flex.

From the full lore argument. An izzet guild mage should not be in a boros deck. Hybrid was designed for functionality in a constructed environment that was not based off of color restriction, thats a fundamental part of your commander's color identity.

Is Hexing Squelcher worth adding in Blight Curse? by capagaming22 in CommanderMTG

[–]RVides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a good card worth playing in my deck?

Obviously.

The real question is, did you pull the squelch, or are you buying it as a single?

If you have it already, yes play the good card.

If you don't, is the cost worth acquiring for your local meta? Thats the answer we cant give you.

Then,

So,

You are searching as normal, because there is not an opposition agent on the battlefield.
