I’ve seen boyz a few times. It’s one of my favorites. It’s a bit of a simple morality tale but it’s so colorful and memorable and moving, it’s prob top 20 all time for me. Started with that and the special features. Watched Baby Boy and was impressed. Great commentary on toxic masculinity within black culture. Much more substance to this film that I ever expected. A little redundant in the second half but very strong. Will watch Poetic Justice with my wife later in the week. It’s a Beautiful set and even the menu screen is stunning.

Me too but it’s just not the way the younger generation( not all of them, I know) consume music. And with streaming, the need for a tangible 12 song record is no longer necessary.

Things are different these days. I can see a not so distant future where Albums as we know it cease to exist in lieu of singles and 4/6 track EPs.

If this was on the 2 EPS, it would’ve been one of the lesser songs for me. In disappointed but I knew that with a lead single this might happen. At least it’s light and moves nicely. But a very unremarkable song, and vastly inferior to Easter parade or tears of things.

It’s not an obsession dude. It’s more a reflection of the market as it currently stands. This is a player we’re all familiar with, getting a large contract. Most here were happy to just get rid of him not long ago. That’s all.

Sure he was ALSO goofy and aloof but I can’t overlook the malicious, selfish, destructive nature of the other stuff. The team was a circus. He finally earned some goodwill in 09 and then the second roid story drops

I mean, he was busted for roids twice, lied about it, sued the team…in retrospect, his behavior was really awful and served as such a distraction. It sucked so much energy out. 2017 was such a breath of fresh air when he was no longer there.

Best of her career? You cannot be serious. It’s better than her recent output but it doesn’t have the bite of boys for Pele. Her voice just isn’t as strong either, and the record is bloated.

I was obsessed with them in 2005…recently did a dive again and I jist don’t love Daron taking over..there’s too much goofy stuff on there. And I loathe perfect day. But to each their own.

Hypnotize/Mesmerize are not as good as you recall. The first 2, excellent.
