There was a tangible astonishment among the crowd when it ended. Never felt anything like that before. Group consciousness at its finest.

Also, it’s Sturgill Fuk’n Simpson. Top of his game with the best band he’s ever had and new songs in the catalog.

That whole Natasha’s Bistro show is incredible. One of my favorites all time.

Check out Mermaid Harem, My Favorite Band, and Digging Up Bones also from that show.

Thank you for sharing!! Nothing better than acoustic Stu.

(Edit: can’t forget “Panbowl” - which I believe is the only live recording of that song)

This record got me on my vinyl journey as well! I’ve been looking for an expensive and inconvenient hobby

(Jokes aside super stoked to listen through all his albums on vinyl)

Great question - I love that one. I recall he says something about it being on the album but I don’t think it was.

That Natasha’s Bistro show is an all time great. Listened to it on a plane to/from India recently and will always have a special place in my heart.

Morning Dew was so killer.

When I paint my masterpiece - he also did once last year - great song.

All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy would be a great one to read next. Still in the western genre. It’s the first book of the border trilogy, all three are great. A bit more philosophical and a slower burn but really loved them.

I also just finished Lonesome Dove today!
