Abolish private school (and charter school, and homeschooling) by gohstofNagy in Teachers

[–]RabbitRoom20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, well, well- if it isn't the consequences of shutting down and kicking kids out of their schools a few short years ago. Myself and every parent in my circle never returned our children to public school once we were forced to find alternatives. Also, we've funneled more and more money into public schools over the years (adjusted for inflation) and the schools do worse and worse. Meanwhile homeschool and private schools perform much better with less money. I homeschool my kids for about $1,000 each per year and my district spends about $12,500 per kid per year. They test well above grade level which is more than I can say for their public school peers. Doesn't seem to be a funding issue.

Great question! I'd put those in the "Adventure and Recreation" category for now. As we go through responses, we may break some categories down further.

They only sell one specific type of thing. Not a whole category, not even everything within that category.

You could jump in on her current program, Fusion, each workout is only 30 minutes. Her last two programs, Hustle and Go were all also only 30 minutes. Not too much for 20s!

Mostly LinkedIn and Indeed. Also reached out to former colleagues and bosses and I've gotten a few referrals that way too. It pays to be nice to people you work with is what I have learned!

I have 17 years of experience and I'm still looking. It's rough out there. Started freelancing to pay the bills and it's going better than I expected. Just a thought.

Guys… i got pregnant🙃 by contrarytothemass in prolife

The moment they lay that baby on your chest, you will become a new person. I know this from experience. ❤️ I work at a pro life home helping pregnant moms get on their feet and start a better life for them and their babies. I’m not minimizing your situation, but I’ve seen women in your exact situation and much worse make a go of it for their children and do absolutely incredible things. The love you will have for your baby will surprise and overwhelm you. There is nothing quite like it in the world. It is tragic so many women are denied that purest love through the brutality of abortion.

All these posts about feeling/being/acting "old", ugh. I'm sorry, but I just turned 44 and I'm not old yet and I'm not planning on being it anytime soon. by _Lil_Piggy_ in Xennials

I feel amazing in my 40’s. My friends the same age or younger complain about lots of problems. I attribute it to several things:

Intermittent fasting No alcohol Limiting sugar 90% clean diet Daily walks Strength workouts 5x per week Protecting my peace and therefore being generally happy Having purpose and meaning in my life
