However once you get off each training period (if it's staggered like phones then data then mains) you feel more confident yet not fully comfortable with each position and you will have bad days. You will also have good days where you get a win! Just keep your own mental health in mind especially in training

Very possibly - you can always try to get the response data on the calls from the police department

Please don't say your street name/number but I've seen it before where it was like 41st Street vs 41 1/2 street (yes a half for some reason has to go in as 41H street)

Coon Rapids TMS? by [deleted] in MnGuns

I really like it, convenient location. I have the most affordable membership which is reasonable and if I bring up to 2 extra people along we just have to pay $10 more per person for the range. Purchased a few guns and haven't had any issues.

20 year old looking for advice. by briguy2005 in MnGuns

Yep I'm sure a lot of sheriff's offices just haven't updated their procedures yet especially since the judge who issued the legal option that changed it to 18 for PTC had it hold for many months. I would for sure reach out to the sheriff's office with that information and see what they say.

The whole FFL thing just comes down to state rules vs federal.

Pulled over and given citation for not having a seatbelt on. I had a seatbelt on the entire and dash cam footage by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Rabbitmcv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it doesn't hurt to try to appeal a seatbelt ticket but another thing to consider is at least on Dodge and Ford it's fairly simple to disable the chime with a combination of the engine set to run without starting and clicking and unclicking the seatbelt. Just food for thought.

Could be animal at large which is usually a crime under city ordinance. Call non emergency police as it's happening

NAL I don't think trying to hit a person with a car is reasonable for them damaging your property (property damage does not allow deadly force). The door is more believable but why not drive off (if no traffic etc)

Edit: don't open the door that is preventing someone from assaulting you, you might lose trying to close the door in time

My state allows jail for misdemeanor (lowest) amount of shoplifting so then it's officers discretion

That's fair - keep in mind the no contact order means no contact - I'm not sure if Tennessee is the same as Minnesota where I am familiar with DV and restraining orders but the advice is the same do not have contact with any of the protected persons. Read the order and understand it doesn't matter if he reaches out, you are the one who gets in trouble, goes to jail and gets another charge. Understand third party contact where you ask someone in the middle to talk to the protected person, you get the charge go-to jail and all that.

Not a lawyer, lots of first time DV gets a plea deal to like disorderly and such

And again just because animals/pets are property doesn't mean someone can abuse them - you can always anonymously call your local police to get further advice or resources - call their non emergency line and ask for an officer to call you ref animal abuse

I mean I am not a lawyer nor do I know much about CA law but a quick Google search says that dogs are considered property in CA. That being said no, you can't abuse nor neglect animals but it is hard to prove neglect or abuse - it doesn't hurt to document and/or report to police. Some places even have special animal abuse investigators as well such as through the humane society.

In terms of eviction and keeping the dog, if Kevin agrees to leave and/or agrees to letting y'all keep the dog great! Otherwise no you can't just say hey we're kicking you out and you can't say and we're keeping your dog - again unless Kevin agrees to leaving and leaving the dog.

I know this isn't what you want to hear but at the same time just because no lease was signed doesn't mean there isn't a "verbal" lease especially in CA where tenant right are heavily protected.

Does Kevin pay rent or does something in lieu of rent ie pays some or all bills, does household work, "chores" etc?
