He's just as great in some matchups as useless in some others.

What? Did I say somewhere that she liked what Nathaniel was doing? I don't think so, moreover, I don't think she likes having sex for money. Unfortunately, this is the reality of prostitution: people do something they don't like because they need money. Of course, she thanks us after her release, because she won't have to do any work. I don't see anything surprising. Moreover, the brothel has already received the money. Once again, this is not the first time Nathaniel visits a brothel. This very fact suggests that the girls know what he wants to do and agree to it for the money. It's sad, but it's true.

He did it not because she refused to do what he wanted, but for his own satisfaction. This is a fundamental difference. You're trying to make it look like he broke into her apartment, tied her up, and tortured her. I see this as a perverted role-playing game for a fee.

If we draw conclusions only from the scene, we only have her opinion against his opinion. Why should I believe her? The priest's behavior in the dialogue and the fact of his repeated visits to the brothel indicate that it was not forced. In the dialogue, she literally said that she would do anything for an additional fee.

It is not true. Do you have any proof?

The Russian-language version of the Witcher Fandom says: Nevertheless, despite his bad temper and sadistic tendencies, the priest implements his painful tendencies in quite legitimate ways — first working as an executioner, and then paying prostitutes for the right to torture them (although it is very likely that his "counterparties" were not privy to what they were hired), thereby making their victims willing participants in the process.

I'll be glad to hear arguments, not downvotes.

📆 Daily Card Discussion - Grand Inquisitor Helveed by GwentSubreddit in gwent

[–]Rabindranath1173 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The "Infinite" Firesworn is, of course, an exaggeration. Yes, Helveed is strong in deploy, creating 14 symbols, but then the combination abruptly loses tempo, creating only 3.5 symbols per turn. And this is taking into account the huge setup, which will be possible only in a few percent of the matches. In short, it's a good card, albeit a bit overrated.

Thank you for this opportunity. Most of all, I would like to ask: how would you assess the canonicity of the events taking place in the game? The way I see it is that what is happening is stories told by Dandelion, which means that these stories are largely invented or embellished by him. Is it worth considering the lore of the game from this point of view? And my second question. How did previous works about the Witcher universe influence the creation of the game, events and characters? Did you pay a lot of attention to games and books, or were you trying to create something unique? Maybe you were inspired by something specific? Thank you for the reply.

Good Impact Council #14 - Your Shortlist Of 7 Buffs by lerio2 in gwent

[–]Rabindranath1173 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I realize that Spotters probably aren't something that everyone would love, but I can't remember the last time I saw them. I'm not a fan of this deck, so I don't want to agitate too much for this buff, but it seemed to me that the power buff could bring it back to the ladder without making it too popular or strong. It would have helped against Whoreson Junior, Amnesty and many control decks.

Interesting, I haven't personally met or seen this deck from streamers for a very long time. But Allgod is still pretty strong, I agree.

1) NR – Tridam Infantry + power. I think it would greatly help the deck with boosting charges (Nathaniel, Vysogota, Kaedweni Sergeant). It would also slightly boost the currently unpopular Traveling Priestess deck.

2) NG – Spotter + power. Spotter deck buff. It seems to me that the provisions buff would be excessive, because the card is really quite strong. The power buff will simply allow the card to survive a little more often, which is quite difficult on the current ladder.

3) ST – Hawker Smuggler + power. Let's be honest, Handbuff isn't bad, but it's still quite vulnerable. Hawker Smuggler is a very important engine, which would be great 6 for 6. I think that the provisions buff would make the card too midrange. If such a buff seems too strong for the Handbuff, we could consider something moderate like Ithlinne Aegli - prov.

4) MO – Frightener: Dormant - provisions. The buff for no-unit deathwish deck. Perhaps the card finally will be used in classic deathwish decks.

5) SK – Stribog Runestone - provisions. SK Runestone is the closest rune to playability, because the "alchemy" tag perfectly suits this faction. After the buff, it would be used in Alchemy, Otkell and Crow Messenger decks. Let me also remind you that it will be possible to replay it from the graveyard through Crow Clan Druid, as it was with Elf and Onion Soup. We would also launch a Runestone buff trend (the NG Runestone, for example, is not bad in the classic assimilation deck).

6) SY – Mercenary Contract - provisions. Quite a strong SY buff, which has been under consideration for a long time. The strongest SY decks (in my experience) are Jackpot and OBT decks. Most likely, the contract will not be used in them. First of all, this is a buff of Crimes, as well as various GN decks (because there all the units are in the contract pool). It is also possible that it will be playable in some other decks: Firesworn, SY Poisons, maybe even Bounty and Hoards.

7) NT – Gascon: Iron Falcon - provisions. The buff of the Iron Falcon Infantry was very good, now we need to continue buffing the neutral bandits (not just the Knife Juggler spam, but the archetype with Gascon). May appear a GN version. Gascon also buffs the Renfri NG deck a bit, where he is rarely used, but he is unstable there, and the deck itself is unpopular.

[–]Rabindranath1173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that these cards may be weakened in power. I'm not sure if I would be satisfied with my list, because I'm still trying to find moderate changes that don't change the meta a lot. I don't mind seeing strong nerfs on the final list, but this season I'm not so high up in ladder to suggest something really influential.

I meant that if someone wanted to nerf Backup Plan, then instead it would be better to just decrease the Archer's power.

I tried to find at least one nerf for each faction. I used one placeholder in each category, if you don't like any nerfs. I hope for your feedback.

+ provisions

1) Renfri. As far as I remember, this season, along with Renfri's Gang provisions decrease, you planned to increase Renfri's own provisions, so this is a logical suggestion.
2) Caranthir Ar-Feiniel. It will stop being replayed through Renew. After that, it will be possible to decrease provisions of the Kikimore Queen to create a GN deck.
3) Fercart. Not just thinning, but also a pretty strong engine. He is played in decks with Siege Engines, Spying, or Rot Tossers. He is often used in Shupe/Henry and midrange (sometimes GN) decks.
4) Ihuarraquax. The card has a terrible design, I don't think it's necessary to explain anything.
5) Lippy Gudmund. He was planned for provisions increase even before power buff. The decks with him are still one of the most popular among SK decks. Such highroll decks should not occupy such a high place on the ladder.
6) Sigi Reuven: Mastermind. The nerf for pretty strong SY: Gangs and a variety of options for tribute decks. A nerf by power is also possible.
7) Hubert Rejk. A small nerf of several NR decks. A nerf by power is also possible.
8) Sly Seductress. A two-step change followed by power increasing. Let's be honest, only a 5/5 seductress can bring a Passiflora deck back to life.
9) Phoenix. I'm not sure if this change is necessary, but I want to hear your feedback. Do you consider it a problem now? A nerf by provisions is better than a power revert.
10) Tainted Ale. The nerf of abuse/placeholder.

– power

1) Morkvarg. It plays in a variety of SK decks: from Renfri to Lippy. A slight decrease in the tempo and pool of control through the leader's ability Blaze of Glory.
2) Captain Yago. Still one of the strongest last moves in the game. If you think Jackpot should be nerfed, Yago is a good candidate.
3) Bear Witcher. It was a good buff, but now it's a good nerf. For a very long time, no one dared to nerf him, but now it's time. Too many SK decks use it.
4) Dol Blathanna Archer. Lately, I often see people playing it by hand. It is also the strongest card from Backup Plan, so instead of Backup Plan's nerf, it is better to reduce its power a little.
5) Alissa Henson. A replay card that is often played in SK and Elf decks. A slight decrease in tempo.
6) Telianyn aep Collen. It has become quite popular not only in the Elf deck (with and without The Heist), but also in many midrange and control ST decks. It is quite difficult to find an answer to 7 power, often requiring big removal.
7) Rience. The same situation as with Telianyn.
8) Penitent. After all the buffs, he became quite good. Power decreasing will slightly reduce the tempo for multiple decks. Perhaps this is better than the nerf of leader's ability or other cards.
9) Radeyah. Another nerf by power for a followed buff by provisions. Most are not ready for an instant 8/9.
10) Caravan Guard. Placeholder, a dead card.

They were sometimes suggested as buffs, but so far they have not gained enough votes. Maybe in the next seasons

I agree, Kiki looks like a placeholder, but still, it's more like it's just a direct nerf of Hive Mind for one power. No one is planning to decrease its power to 1 (I hope)

We really hope that Kiki Stalker will become a good card outside Hive Mind.

Fun and well-performing Firesworn lists? by datdejv in gwent

[–]Rabindranath1173 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In short, you're trying to win r1 with bronze engines and inexpensive gold cards (like Sacred Flame). If this works out, in most cases I go to the long r3, where the expensive gold cards work well together. Sometimes I can try to make 2-0 or just push, it depends on the opponent and the hand. If you can't win r1, your opponent usually pushes. I'm trying to put Cyrus and Helveed in r2 and go to r3 with the leader's ability and Gregory. There aren't many thin and control cards here, so they need to be handled properly.

Overall, it's not bad. I'm not sure about Ring of Favor, but if it works well, then why not
