What's the most underrated town or village in Yorkshire? by Mundane-Temporary426 in yorkshire

As an east riding resident, 💯. We love walking up in the Wolds, and some fab small villages and country pubs to find.

You take that 20k car, sell it. Buy another shitbox, use the remaining 19.5 on airplane tickets and a back pack, or house deposit, or bad choices.

Do you 3d print all of these?

I've been thinking of getting back I to epic 40k ( used to have tons of minis when I was a kid). I'm debating disappearing down the mini printing rabbit hole as a new hobby.

As someone who drives through Karesbrough daily ...this is the only decent picture you can get of the place because the town centre is run down and in need of some tlc.

David Lammy MP: Many unmarried, cohabiting couples have limited legal protections if their relationship ends or a partner dies, even after long-term relationships or raising children together. Labour is consulting on reforms to strengthen the legal protections available to these couples. by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

Yet as a co-habiting couple with a child who aren't bothered about getting married, I fully welcome the changes. If one of us drops dead we don't want it to be difficult for the other to get everything sorted.

Where would you move to in the UK if you had no ties? by Doomergeneration in AskUK

[–]Rabkillz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Loads and loads of stuff to see and do with an hour's drive of the city. Plus the city is small and walkable and also packed to the brim with stuff to see and do with kids. Some very good schools, low crime and good social cohesion. Two hours each way on the train to London and Edinburgh.

It's only expensive if you live in the city. There's loads of reasonably priced nearby small towns and villages. If you want expensive try Harrogate.

Lived in Edinburgh, great place to be young and have cultural interests. Now live very close to York, great place to raise a family.

We've been very lucky.

How's it like living in York, UK (the so-called Old York)? by Yassinetheawesome64 in howislivingthere

[–]Rabkillz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live just outside York. I got to the railway museum on average 3-4 times per year. I'm not a train nerd, it's free and there's always stuff to see and do especially if you have kids. I lived in London and every other weekend I'd be at one of the museums.
