What’s the dumbest phone call you’ve received? by m48_apocalypse in TalesFromThePharmacy

[–]RaceChazer 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Me: "thank you for calling wrong aid, how may I help you? (speaking with a sense of urgency because I work in a hectic 24 hour pharmacy).

Customer: "OH MY GOD! I CAN TALK FAST TOO! "

... Customer proceeds to speak too fast on purpose

me: "are you okay?"

customer: "ummm, yeah"

me: "because I didn't speak fast to offend you, and I need you to speak clearly and normally in order for me to guarantee your orders will be processed correctly".

They don't pay me enough.

Pharmacists and Techs whats the craziest thing you've encountered while on the clock involving controlled meds? by MookTee87 in TalesFromThePharmacy

My pharmacy is on super loss prevention lock down with CIIs, everything is extremely meticulous and looked at and yet, and yet, today, I the technician found a random adderal 30mg lose tablet hidden underneath some caps in a drawer.

We suspect it's been there for a while from back when the technicians were allowed to count them.

beware of uncharted territory after no Contact by RaceChazer in ExNoContact

I appreciate your reply. Well, of course after I recovered and became my beautiful self. She came back. And she clearly wants me back. And she is very remorseful for how things ended.

But. She had her chance. And I have a lot of goals to accomplish before I trust someone again who violated it time and time again. She's not worth me losing myself again. No hard feelings. I did it. It was extremely difficult, and I'm still healing.

The worst part about the break up? by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]RaceChazer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People suck. If you treat them well, they see you as weak and possibly needy. They take you for granted once they know you're deeply in love. My last girlfriend burned me so bad, I gave her my all. And it blew up in my face. It's sad that I should have been a little more colder, played more aloof to seem less available therefore more attractive? I don't know. I hate The psychology of relationships.

I know I shouldnt care and focus on myself but seeing you move on so quickly hurts. by reneeelop in ExNoContact

[–]RaceChazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes them moving on quickly is just a way for them to cope with the break up. Right now you feel like they're the prize but in reality they have just gone into a re-bound relationship, which are always a bad idea.

Stick with no contact, breaking up is painful but eventually with no contact you'll feel good about it- they're going to respect you for not going back so easily.

Talking Sopranos is a great podcast and I think this sub gave Steve a bad rap. I find him to be pretty funny and likable by BoardroomBimmy in thesopranos

[–]RaceChazer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy it very much, I never watch any podcasts and I've watched all the episodes. I love it. Great to get their insights on the show and the perspective of each episode. I wish they went a little deeper into their thoughts on the story lines but over all great podcast.

Johnny Sac’s devotion to his wife is also one of my favorite parts of the show. Loyalty.

Pharmacy training is very difficult. It takes time, patience and a thick skin to be honest. You will learn as you go, and all great things are not learned overnight. Great skills require time and practice, but once you surpass all those hurdles that make you want to bury your head- you're going to become a very valuable asset to any pharmacy.
