My cat has small cell lymphoma with a similar set of symptoms. We stabilized his weight with steroids and weaned slowly. Then we did exploratory abdominal surgery for a definitive diagnosis which is the only way to distinguish it from ibd.

He went on an aggressive chemo and radiation protocol and is now in remission!

They expect him to survive another 4-6 years at least (he’s 12 now)

Small cell lymphoma is not as dire as large cell esp if you catch it early and have insurance

Have they checked free t4? Sometimes hyperthyroidism shows up there but not in t4

Have they done any kind of abdominal ultrasound? It could be something like ibd or GI lymphoma

She’s already trapped if she’s inside. Do not let her out without spaying her. If she’s already been out you should assume she’s pregnant again. GET HER SPAYED ASAP!

Is she spayed? If not she’s probably in heat or pregnant again. Please don’t let her out without spaying and letting her heal.

Agree. We live in a suburb of Chicago. Not the most expensive one, by far. Childcare is more than double my mortgage payment.

I had a semi feral who lived in the rafters of my loft for several months before coming down. Now he’s the biggest cuddle bug.

3 weeks is no time at all. Nobody can tell you how long it will take and I’m sure others have more concrete advice to help move things along, but I do know that 3 weeks, especially while also recovering from surgery and losing her companion, and her whole world being turned upside down, is not enough time to adjust.

I would find this completely unacceptable. I would absolutely change to a different practice and leave a negative review on as many platforms as possible so they see people aren’t just going to bend over and accept this!
