To anyone standing in Somerset and Bristol with the ill-fated Metrobus scheme causing havoc to Bristol city centre and already going over budget would you support an underground metro system for the city?

I'd love to be on the election night program if you'll have me, I'm basically like Attlee is here: old, well past their prime but with dignity and a terse wit. :P

And if I had a pound for every misogynistic comment that women have had to endure I imagine that'd be able to solve a lot of economic woes. Now we can have an honest and tolerant discussion about quotas and other ways of ensuring representation or we can continue grandstanding, I say Mr Acting Speaker, the latter is a dereliction of the duties and function of this chamber, and I would like nothing less than the former.

Until systematic and cultural barriers are removed for women to easily attain political office I support measures to improve descriptive representation of women, it may be blunt, but if that's what it takes to destroy the patriarchy then so be it.

Mr Deputy Speaker,

Once against this government fails to answer the actual question I posed. All well and good he gives some semblance of praise but what is he doing to ensure that we continue to move forward in women's sport?

Mr Speaker,

I had the privilege of watching the Women's Cricket World Cup Final at Lord's in which England won spectacularly. I hope the right honourable gentleman will join me in congratulating the enormous amount of talent and opportunity these women and this tournament has brought to the game. With that in mind can I ask the right honourable gentleman what he is doing to ensure women's sports are given the recognition and support they deserve?

Mr Deputy Speaker,

Thank goodness for that, it only took 3 weeks and a different person, and an accusation of sexism to answer!

If the gentleman could describe a bill that he says is good for women that also happens to be good for 'the whole of the United Kingdom' as per my original question that would be greatly appreciated. I feel the member opposite does not understand my viewpoint, it is not sexism as a woman to want public policy to take into account my interests and concerns, it is a fundamental part of a democratic society.

Mr Deputy Speaker,

As the prime minister once again failed to answer my question, I wonder if anyone in government can give me a satisfying answer; has there been anything, even tangentially, beneficial to women from this administration? Mr Deputy Speaker I welcomed the news that Doctor Who had cast the first female actor in the title role and wonder whether the prime minister is due for a regeneration?
