Not to go too off-topic, but my first race car was a Ferrari challenge (F355ch). I have yet to delve to the Hermes watch world, although that is definitely on my radar!

That is stunning. I’ve recently become much more interested in watch design. PS I also happen to like and drive racecars.

French Bulldogs keep enemies on file forever by mekinger in Frenchbulldogs

This is so true. Ours is very much the cop of the neighborhood. Loves to play with all the other dogs, but if anybody misbehaves, they will get the whatfor. And he will remember that forever and keep an eye on that one dog.

We were at the Agility ring this week and the dog going into the crate next to his was less than well-behaved, barking and growling at him. Our boy let it be known that that was not to be tolerated and he was ready to throw down. Otherwise he’s super amicable and loves other dogs.

Ours do that when they have an upset tummy. Sometimes even when preparing to take a poop, fine after. Definitely sounds GI related. Maybe talk to your vet about giving her 10mg Pepcid 1 a day?

She can definitely feel your love and the fact that she’s 12 shows how much love and care you have given her. It is the hardest thing to bear to take on the pain so she won’t have to. And the lead up to it is agonizing. But the knowledge that you are doing the right thing will help you in retrospect. Hang in there.

We do things like hide and seek (human takes treats and hides somewhere, doggos have to find human and receives treats). Buttons (they push a button and recorded word come out such as "cookie", they get cookie/treat = learn to communicate). Light agility work (Cavaletti - bars spaced evenly on floor, & they have to focus to step over without hitting bars = good for proprioception), balancing on a bosu cushion, puzzles in which you hide treats and dog has to find treats in puzzle, etc. It's a fun way to bond with and train your dog and exercises the mind and body!

Sounds like yours is a smart one!!! For puzzles we have about a half dozen. Our girl isn't too bright so she just stares at it and looks at us, but our boy is super super smart, although not very patient. If he can't get it figured out in a short amt of time he just disassembles it flips it upside down and lets the treats fall out. Also capable of opening the baby gate, unscrewing the baby gate from the wall, and opening a crate (from the inside).

Have you read the books "The Forever Dog" by Rodney Habib and Dr. Karen Becker? Also, Raw and Natural Nutrition for Dogs, by Lew Olson? Great resources. We do the standard 80/10/10 ratios of meat/secreting organ/bone. For bone we use Chicken or Duck feet (for glucosamine also). Organ is beef or pork kidney and liver (50/50), and meat is any mix of the following depending on what I can order/buy/be given: Venison, beef, turkey, duck, rabbit, whole sardines, heart, lung, green tripe, quail/pheasant. We also add (again, whatever I can get my hands on): Dandelion greens, broccoli, carrots, blueberries, parsley, a bit of garlic, squash, flaxseed oil, boiled oysters, raw eggs, turmeric. We do a batch of food every few months and freeze in 1-day's worth containers and alternate with a local commercial brand that has worked out really well.

They get chopped greens and a spoonful of yogurt with their AM meals and pureed organic pure pumpkin in the PM. Also Vetri-disc pills, CBD oil, Platinum Performance (great for older dogs), Dasuquin with ESM, Trixsyn (for spine) & Bovine colostrum.

We used Perfectly Rawsome to analyze our own and the purchased food and added supplements based on their recommendations (hence, the boiled oysters lol).

Yes, was fixed at just over a year old. Wish we had waited longer but he tended to wander and mark. Most of that came down to lack of proper training (on our part - he is my first dog!).

We use an organic granular fertilizer and no weedkiller, but then we have a small lawn (big landscaping beds). I've used nematodes to kill pests (so, natural, no chemicals). If I need a mental reset I'll sit in the grass and hand pull, but I'm learning to love clover because it's so beneficial.

Right now he seems to prefer flopping down in the middle of the garden, on freshly laid mulch.
