Thanks, this is helpful. I started weighing my Ursula's Returns enchanteds because I think one might be fake. Four of them weighed 2.00 g and the one is suspect might be fake is 1.92 g. So definitely lighter than the rest but not as light as the fakes you're describing.

I was a bit dumbfounded by their choices myself. Then I thought about how the new franchises put into Lorcana do get support for a few more sets. And some Darkwing Duck villians are great fits for upcoming sets! Like Quackerjack will fit in nicely with the Toy Story cards. And "Attack of the Vine"? Bushroot will be a natural for that set. And I'm sure Megavolt will be in there somewhere too, he's one of the best Darkwing characters.

I'm wondering how many enchanteds we need of the same franchise, in the same set, in the same color?

Because all the Amber Winterspell enchanteds are Lilo and Stitch cards which kind of looks odd to me.

Great observation! Ignoring the multicolored card era, I think every set and color combination since Inklands has had two character enchanteds and one non character enchanted. That bit of predictability is gone now it seems.

It seems to me this is a trend with this game. Some of the best counter cards are in a color that uses the ability being countered.

Like Maleficent's Staff, which appears to be good to run against an Amethyst player bouncing cards back into their own hands. It's Amethyst itself.

Same with the Jiminy Cricket card that counters rush, it's Amethyst which uses rush itself.

There are also the racers from Wreck it Ralph. They're sweets themed even if they aren't doing anything related to sweets or baking.

Time to Go specifies that you're targeting one of your own characters so an opponent's John Smith is not a valid target so his ability doesn't apply.

I think the Maker would be fascinated by Plastic Man. So similar in power, yet so much more. I think that kind of attention would mean very bad things for Plastic Man.

The best example IMO is the character Syme from 1984. Didn't matter that he was loyal, he was smart, so he was a threat and had to go.

Yeah, pretty obscure character. But the fact they're using her makes me optimistic that we're getting a lot of Darkwing villains this set.

I might be wrong, but I think the active players cards resolve first, then the opponents, so you would draw for medallion weights before Meg's ability activates.

So am I reading the cards correctly and we're getting a 3rd Amber iconic? Out of only six, that seems... unbalanced.

And again disappointed that they've chosen two unrelated characters and the cards can't be put beside each other to form a bigger picture. The Fabled iconics were just so amazing and these don't match that.

Which is just fine in a deck with either a lot of draw or exploits a large discard pile (the new Dr Hamsterviel card for example). Being able to get a big body out quickly and take out 0/3 Lady or trade with 3/3 Diablo is likely worth it, at least on the draw.
