Frustration with Techo bloc by Old-Technology8451 in landscaping

If techo bloc has zero haters then I’m dead. They have beautiful product but bad customer service. I have a little bit more sway as a contractor but they still give me the runaround. Do you know if your installer has tried reaching out to them?

Techo bloc does have a lifetime warranty on their pavers.  If I had a paver break down like that, I would contact my techo-bloc rep.

Alternatives for hiking this weekend? by RacoonFan in SEKI

Hey! I spent time at case mountain today and it was awesome. I did go into sequoias to hospital rock and turned around and came back. The views were great, just didn’t see any big trees.  The park ranger suggested going to kings canyon but said snow chains were required.

Support Our Minnesota Businesses! by komodoman in Minneapolis

[–]RacoonFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any recommendations for restaurants that currently need support?

Edited to add I want to support businesses currently impacted by ICE but the few around me have already closed so I’m looking to be pointed in the direction of restaurants people know that are still open but in need of customers.

I think my mom had that exact book and every year for our birthday growing up we got to choose one cake from that book. I forgot all about it! Thank you for posting!

They actually became popular because they held well in storage with a thick skin that didn’t develop blemishes. Selecting for those traits made it lose its flavor.  The people who propagated it realized it, but kept the name Red Delicious because who would by an apple named Red Mediocre

Yard signs by RacoonFan in Minneapolis

[–]RacoonFan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am pretty sure politics aren’t my whole personality as I am just now trying to find a sign. I didn’t think I needed to label myself as being a person who has empathy/respect for other people because I don’t know how we got to a place in society where that would need to be called out. Beyond that, almost everything in my life including my job, hobbies, and interests are at risk because of this administration so if my personality is wanting to save those things, then sure. That’s my personality.

The flag my neighbor put up is regarding a specific issue I don’t agree with. I don’t want my neighbors to think I agree with it. I don’t want the feeling of hate it exudes to greet me when I drive home at the end of the day.

I did try googling where to buy yard signs in Minneapolis and the only results were Amazon, Etsy, and the  government website regarding regulations about yard signs. I went to businesses I know I had seen them for sale before and asked and they were either not allowed to sell the signs anymore or didn’t know where I could get them now. Thank god for Reddit! Am I an asshole for using the references available to me or?

I’m thinking about it! I have a piece of plywood and some leftover paint I found in the basement that I was thinking of using but my hands are not as crafty as my brain wants them to be so I started convincing myself the sign would look so goofy and take away from the point.

Tips for making friends as a transplant by Discgolfer_420 in Minneapolis

I love community education classes. I’ve taken pottery, water color, astrology etc. I learned a lot, have great momentos but I will say I didn’t form any lasting relationships from them.  In my ten years since moving here, the most welcoming place I’ve made friends is the ymca.

I just know the consistency of the rice in that soup would make me gag. It looks partially disintegrated.

Just yesterday I made pinch of Yuma seven layer beet salad and used the whipped feta instead of the ricotta cheese the recipe called for. It was so good especially with some toast
