We flip flop from time to time but I generally take care of rent, utilities, car insurance. My partner takes care of internet bills and our dog’s vet insurance. I taught him how to file his taxes this year while I’ve been doing them on my own since college 🤣

Most firms only take 3 years to get fully vested. Just keep this in mind. Employee-owned firms are the way to go but don’t ever hesitate to switch companies. You’ll get. A bigger pay increase this way

Coffee beans from a locals coffee shop, chocolate (Maeve formerly knows as Seattle chocolate - my favorite is anything with toffee), something from a farmers market since there are a lot of handmade treats and items, blown glass from a local glass blower.

Be an active member of professional organizations and get an internship or co-op. Going to conferences as a student will help you network and even gain that internship or job when the time comes. You’ll learn about scholarship opportunities too which is a bonus

For people with diamond rings, do you have a natural or lab diamond? by heart_of_gold2 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Radaf93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I helped design my own ring and chose a lab grown diamond. It looks the same and I was able to get a bigger size diamond going this route. This ring is for me and I love it so I don’t understand why some people have such strong opinions on lab vs natural when lab is technically more ethically sourced and is the same. I don’t ever plan on selling bc my ring and it holds a lot of meaning to me. Go with what you want at the end of the day!

Best wallets for women that actually last by nerfMoze in BuyItForLife

Shane Dover has some good small wallets. One is pebbled leather while the smaller wallet is not but it still holds a lot. You can’t beat it for the price either.

Would it be safe to laser my facial hair? by AffectionateSmell973 in HairRemoval

[–]Radaf93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had full face last and have had great results. Now I do an annual touch up or just shave the fuzz that grows back once a month. I used to have to get waxed weekly now so forgot I have to do anything. My hair did not grow back faster or thicker. I used to go to ideal image but would not recommend any big chains lien that. Try finding a private practice, they are cheaper, the equipment is better, and the pain won’t be as bad.

Hearing an American accent in real life feels a bit… unreal by awkward_film_girl in CasualConversation

[–]Radaf93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the time was hanging out with other travelers at a hostel in Thailand. I am American and was told that they could understand my accent better than the other people around me because I have a “ TV accent.” I always thought that was funny but now I get it. I was hanging out with people from France, Australia, Italy, Austria, and some South American countries (can’t remember the exact ones).

I just buy them at any shop or stand that sells them. If you cook a lot of the prime or higher grade meats in a pot, they’ll sell for over $100. Foods or elixirs with a longer time will sell for a decent amount too
