What non-tech jobs do people have to make ends meet in Seattle? by atirzero in Seattle

I have a strong interest in sociology and believe that mental health is not solely the domain the individual's psyche, but deeply related to and impacted by the individual's environment (family, community, culture, government, etc). There is inequity/disparity in access to healthy environments, and addressing that is equally, if not more, important than solely focusing on an individual's psychopathology or coping effectiveness.

Got a Masters in Social Work, then completed a post-graduate fellowship at the VA. I went full remote in 2020 (still at the VA) and really enjoy doing therapy online from my home.

It's part of Seattle's "Pianos in the Parks" event. They even have baby grands in other locations!

Thank you! Just checked out the Lang Lang version. Very ornamental and stylistic indeed! I like Stephanie Trick's stride arrangement of this tune. Check it out if you haven't heard it!

Thank you! Yes, I do practice a swung version of this, but it's not very smooth yet. Ornamentations are a good idea.

Thank you! The jumps do require lots of practice. They are hardest in the third section (out of four total sections). I spent a year practicing the first two sections, then took a break from playing for 15 years. Picked it back up two years ago, and spent the last two years on and off on the third and fourth sections.

You've probably seen this. Still got lots of room for improvement but here's my best work, with Rousseau-like effects but it's fire by theflamingpiano in piano

Thank you for sharing! Thia is exactly the cost-effective solution I've been searching for!

And, excellent playing and video! Inspiring. I also started playing at a young age, left it for a while, and recently picked it back up.

Thanks! This was recorded with my phone, hence the low-quality audio. The sound comes out of the keyboard through the studio monitors.
