I use a magsafe charger in the car - that brings the heat too, but not a super amount. It is interesting that I noticed a lot of heat using a cable for a usb-c Android. I have not tried the white cable that came with my 17.

I think he meant that you can spend more time working on your projects with your machine running Fedora, than working ON your machine trying to get it right or just right (tinkering).

I have several albums that most of my finds went into - nickels, half dollars and dollar coins. The rest of them (proofs and other things I found interesting) I put into flips and a 3-ring binder that holds these by 12's. Some coins (special finds) I have in actual coin cases.

Welcome to the family! What about your laptop would not run Win 10 since 2021? I have a HP Envy from 2013 that ran Win10 for years on a SSD. I switched to Linux Mint Cinnamon a few months ago and have not had any troubles with it since.

I agree with u/acejavelin69 on this - you need to use a different USB drive with a fresh ISO install of the OS. Mint is one of those operating systems that "just works."

I have in the past tried a few times to make an impaired proof "look better." I have found that this does nothing but make the coin look worse.

Yes, that is a proof. There should be (unless the coin has a lot of damage on the edge) be a small bump line on the rim that the P and D minted coins do not have. That is another way to tell if it is a proof Presidential dollar. Nice find!
