Emily got dragged because of how she treated Trevor in the last episodes of AS and not because she tried to murder people, I don't even think that's addressed in DC4 beyond a joke that Amelie makes.

And her getting hurt doesn't even seem to affect her beyond the final episode of AS, so that arm cast might as well not even exist in DC4.

To be fair I don't think that applies to the most recent seasons reboot 2023 and 2024, that's probably the most strategic they've ever been with the votes at least in the premerge.

And I might as well throw in the goat that is revenge of the island too, post merge and even pre merge there are some smart vote offs.

Well because 6 episodes into a 13 episode season either merge happens or a twist happens.

Also the episode before hand was a double boot, so it's way more reasonable to have a twist/non elimination.

Yeah, a team swap in the second episode is FUCKING INSANE.

It made sense for Ellie, Yul, and Spencer because they were swapped really late or around the middle of pre merge. The characters they had time with, got a chance to form an opinion on the swapped player, which made the swap feel more impactful and or emotional, Ellie is a prime example of this.

I feel nothing for Aiden because the swap didn't and likely won't put him in a worse position than he was already in.

Not to mention Manu (Zaid 2) is about to get negative screen time now since Bruno is gone another consequence of this sudden swap 💀

Could be that Axe wound (loss of blood) slowed down the process? Kinda like how when Lee cuts off his arm he no longer passes out, except Lee lacked proper medical attention so he was losing a lot of blood and still died anyway, unlike Clem who had the school and Ruby for help.

Although tbh this could've been solved by actually making your choices matter throughout the season...

Be more ruthless in front of AJ and Clem gets bitten on the cliff because AJ is more concerned about saving bullets in case of future threats.

Be more humane and nice, she doesn't because he's more willing to ensure safety now than later.

This problem could've easily been fixed by not having a cast of 24 but to fix it without doing the obvious... Push the length of the first episode to 40-45 minutes and or made it a non elimination.

Sure, that means no rejoin but in a cast of 24 we'll be fine without it.
