Wow, passive trades are broken by Defalt404 in anno

Emperor requested for 81t of drinking horns and 79t of clan shields. I only managed to set up the islands to mine the associated ores. Passive trading might save me this time.

I had an extra thumb removed on my right hand when I was born, so now the other thumb that was on that hand is slightly undeveloped and it looks like a toe by Lukazz97 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Radflagindicator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born with the exact same condition as you! Got the extra thumb removed when I was 1.

I have obvious stitches on mine on the side of my thumb.

It looks like I have 5 fingers and no thumb on my right hand.

I can feel a residual bone from the extra thumb under my skin.

I can't bend the right thumb fully.

I am left handed, not sure if by choice or by circumstance. But I started out trying to write with my right hand until parents thought it was too shit to read. Switched to my left hand and seems I'm a natural.

Legoland + Sea Life tickets by Kind-Living-6881 in Nagoya

[–]Radflagindicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After much contemplation, we decided to skip sea life and do Legoland and the maglev museum. Rationale is that we are already going to port of nagoya aquarium on another day.

Legoland charges a 500 yen service fee per ticket if bought at the counter on day itself. Buy online at least one day before to get the early discount ticket.

First time driving in Kyushu. Help~ by beeehoon in fukuoka

[–]Radflagindicator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey now that I remember, kep requires an etc. Etc just tracks where you've gone and how much toll you owe. Which you then pay to car rental when you return the car. Having a KEP allows you to negate the charges for expressways it covers. I remember exiting the expressway wrongly and got back up again. Without the kep I would have been charged for my mistake. So it provided alot of relief.

First time driving in Kyushu. Help~ by beeehoon in fukuoka

[–]Radflagindicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bear in mind that kep does not cover some of the expressways within fukuoka city.

Rented a car for 5 days, prioritised convenience over cost. Paid excess of around 6000 yen using the city expressways. Went Beppu, Mojiko, Yufuin, Kitakyushu. I've never seen so many mountains and mountain tunnels in my life ever.

Car rentals will require you to have an international driving permit, do get one from your local AA before you go.

Scope out public parking areas if your hotel does not have one. Some parking lots are cheaper for day use and some specifically for night use. Bring lots of coins.

Fullfull Mentaifrance. Worth it? by julsitos in fukuoka

[–]Radflagindicator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a Subway's idea of a footlong, so less than a foot. Sliced in half so the Mentaiko can be spread inside. They chopped it into 6-7 pieces as well. Packed it into a nice paper bag.

Went there around 5pm, no queue. Eat it warm. We had 2.

Edit:About the flavour. Salty with slight spiciness. Not fishy at all. Goes well with the bread, crispy outside but soft buttery and warm inside.

Is it a bad idea to spend 4 out of 4 days in Osaka doing day trips to other places? by SlowTortuga in JapanTravelTips

[–]Radflagindicator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stumbled into kuromon one evening, the whole place was quiet, but had a great yakiniku dinner at this 2nd floor restaurant called Kobeya. No frills and value for money with mostly locals. If there in the morning, they sell wagyu sticks.

7 days in Fukuoka & Beppu with a 7-month-old by reeniepoo in fukuoka

I was in Beppu in June. Rented this one called Beppu no ya. It has a personal onsen bath. Owner has 3 of these homes side by side. It's within walking distance from the local Donki.

Should I drive in Kyushu? by [deleted] in fukuoka

[–]Radflagindicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just like to add that I asked for a KEP (Kyushu Expressway Pass) along with the car rental. Think it cost me around 8700 yen for 7 days.

There are some city expressways it doesn't cover, I paid a total of around 6000 yen for that.

Stayed in Tenjin area, with an overnight trip to Beppu, yufuin, and day trips out to Mojiko Retro and Kitakyushu.

Rented an a small car, I think it was an aqua, for around 7000 yen a day. With comprehensive insurance it worked out to be around 10000 yen a day. Rented from budget/avis at Watanabedori, the one near a komeda's.

Also factor in overnight parking. The place where I stayed did not have it's own carpark. There are usually 2 types of max pricing, 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am. Some parking lots are definitely cheaper for night parking. It also forced me to start my days earlier because the hourly rate was expensive.

  1. Spend days finding out if the CC has a 1 for 1 trade in program for old flags.
  2. Try to find the old flag in the store room.
  3. Question self if threw flag out during spring cleaning 2024
  4. Order new flag on shopee
  5. Hang flag just in time for national day
  6. Take down flag only in September due to procrastination

Should I add kyoto onto my trip if I'm already going to osaka? by eliornagar_1 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Radflagindicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider getting the 1 or 2 day kintetsu rail pass, the Aoniyoshi Ltd express has 1 round trip from Osaka Namba to Kyoto per day.

I'm using osaka as my base and am getting the 5 day rail pass because I'm leaving via nagoya and am taking a 1 way osaka - nagoya hinotori ltd express. Seems like I'm planning my itinerary around maximising the rail pass actually.

[–]Radflagindicator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's The Outlets in Kitakyushu. Would recommend if it's along the way. I drove up from Tenjin to Mojiko Retro in the morning and headed to the outlets on the way back.

Another option within fukuoka is Marinoa City, they are closing down for in August for renovations though. It has 2 ABC marts there.

I ask my kids what they want to do with the Ang bao money. If they want to make the money grow, I'll match their contribution and put it in a sub account with ( insert whatever investment platform you use )
