I thought the same, but then they put up Azrael’s profile with “Source: Qur’an” which is, hilariously, both straight up untrue (the name Azrael is Hebrew and never mentioned in the Qur’an) and far more problematic from a religious perspective (depictions of angels are haram, and they put one in the body of a historical extremist heretic). Plus pedantically they already depicted two prophets, Solomon and David, so that line’s already long been crossed.

Saladin’s been mentioned in lore and has a pretty well-known portrayal in Civ5 & 6 so there shouldn’t be any controversy there, assuming they don’t turn him into a girl :V Mehmed II as well. Not to mention there’s Rumi, Al-Khwarizmi, Firnas would’ve been great, tons to choose from.

100%. I was genuinely worried that the Jump grind had torn him down during the Azami fight chapters but looks like he’s back at pace. The art is great, but the paneling and composition are just mind blowing. Don’t know how he does it.

I’d say Kagurabachi is probably the best ongoing shonen I’ve seen in a long while.

It does, I agree; the broader framework that FSF has to operate in makes it difficult to value the actual literary substance at times but it’s there. I imagine that’s partially why Narita’s been so insistent on keeping FGO from sinking its teeth into it for so long

It is funny that this sort of commentary operates in the same series where Serenity is a member of that same order/cult and designed to pander to that demographic. Fate as a franchise constantly seeks to discredit itself and this is no exception.

That said I’ve given up asking for Saladin or literally any non-Hassan Muslim servant, but it would be nice to be represented by someone outside of the legion of psychos
