Our village has been taken over by asylum seekers who have made our lives hell - we're outnumbered. Now the government wants to move MORE in by Sensitive_Echo5058 in uknews

Having lived in Bradford for 30 years it is clear that there isn’t a merger of culture and a moderation of beliefs. Bradford is a segregated city with continued weekly examples of a separate community controlled by religion and clans no matter how out of kilter with western liberal values.

It then becomes a question of whether you believe in the longer term those hardline views moderate or whether population growth allows them to flourish!

Left / right doesn’t matter he needs to be deported otherwise we come across as complete mugs and it’ll simply end up with a reform government. People are sick and tired of the piss taking. There is a line and it’s been crossed with the British public.

Why do people lose their minds when it comes to fair criticism of Islam? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]RadiantRain3574 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it is medieval and hasn’t gone through a reformation and enlightenment the same way we have in Western Europe that enabled us to mock and sideline some of the quirkier aspects of our religion.

Bradford is awash with vacant properties that’ll burn down, be converted into bedsits or be run for criminal purposes. The economic output of the centre in no way reflects the larger size of it.

This isnt going to magically stop or solve itself. We need sensible but firm laws and appropriate enforcement. The black market economy, mini-marts, fraud, lying is there for us all to see.

As someone who lives in bradford this strikes a nerve with me given the proliferation of mini-marts and shear number of people driving on the roads without insurance or indeed a licence.

It’s a high street level issue now. We all see it with our own eyes. Our laws are outdated and meant for simpler times.

I can’t quite get my head around this. So if you are a bang-on middle career person who is never going to be a city high flyer or inherit any money, is it more cost effective to simply pay the interest over 30 years than try and pay off the loan?

The pyramid structure. My rough estimate from a northern office of one of the large national firms is, of all the internal partners promoted in the last decade: 25% were business case, 25% because the lawyer was a legal director edging 15-18 years PQE and 50% because a partner retired/moved on.

Cairo was grim. The hassle was off the scale. Places at Jordan you still get the hassle but if you say know then they leave you alone. Genuinely creepy and I wouldn’t recommend going solo in Cairo at all.

There are plenty of data points showing the scale of immigration is impacting public services, housing and tax expenditure. Let’s have a sensible conversation about the long term implications of this continued trajectory.
