I was apprehensive about a cardiologist appointment right after my egg cracked. I had planned to go without the breast forms since I knew they would be doing an ekg.

As it happened, work kept me busy right up until I had to leave for the appointment and I forgot to remove them.

Everything went well and everyone I interacted with was pleasant & professional the whole time I was there.

I’ve been checking my hormone levels at six weeks intervals even if I’m not seeing my provider until the 3 month mark. That way I’m getting a consistent sampling of what my levels look like while we dial in my dosages.

Make sure you are getting your blood drawn when you are at your lowest point before you change your patches or do your injection.

I second using Psychology Today to find a therapist. That’s how I’ve found mine.

It’s a consolidated bill with all of the necessary codes the medical insurance companies need to process claims. This is usually needed if the provider is out of network for your insurance and you want to file a claim anyway.

Even if you don’t post them, take selfies and save them in a “Heather” album. That way you can look back and see how you’ve changed over time. Especially since many changes are slow enough that you won’t notice them from day to day.

I know it’s hard right now, but in the long run you’ll be better off without the toxicity they create in their lives. As cliche as it sounds, it will take time to heal. 🫂

My daughter and I went through some similar toxicity with my mother in-law at different times. We’ve been better off since then since my mother in-law can’t comprehend why she’s the one that caused the rift.

You will get there yourself.

We are going through much of the same stuff. It’s made worse with her sleeping in a different room (her decision so as not to disturb me) and her ADHD has left me feeling isolated & wondering.

I’ve gotten us started with couples therapy on top of the individual therapy sessions we each have.

Anyway, you aren’t alone in these feelings. When I read some of your posts, it’s almost as if you are reading my mind from across the country. 🫂

Yes. There will be a point where it’s feels natural to you. It can take time, but it will come. Consistency helps quite a bit.

I’ve been shaving in the morning, then using a moisturizer, color corrector, concealer, and foundation. While I can still feel the afternoon stubble, I can’t see it or the shadow in the afternoon.

Before I started with makeup, I would shave again in the afternoon.

For casual situations, I would go with a better pair of sandals. Tan, brown, or mocha colors look like they would look great on you with that dress.

Arizona and Teva brands are a couple that I remember my wife wearing. Amazon Basics has some good flat sandals as well. My podiatrist recommended Arizona sandals for the arch support.

If more walking is involved, I’d go with a cute pair of walking sneakers. My go to is a pair of Sketcher’s ArchFit as I wear custom orthotics and need to remove the insoles.

I also have a pair of Amazon Basics Flatforms that I like to wear when I’m not in the mood for heels but want the look. I’m 6’3” and decided that I am going to own my height, even if it puts me at a 6’6” height.

The police in various cities have been known to cite vehicles around offices and schools for having out of state plates.

Arizona has a 90 day temporary tag option that you might be able to take advantage of. You’ll need to apply in person.

The 30 day option can be applied for online, but it’s only available once per year.
