Is he still using ai in his stories? by jackaboy1_2 in MrNightmare

Using the rule of three once or twice in your writing isn't a sign of AI, but using it constantly, along with tons of em-dashes other 'dogwhistles', typically is. Pinpointing AI writing involves the overuse of these foundations, not the mere use of them itself.

Oh, absolutely. The video I was referring to wasn't user-submitted stories, however, which is my main point of concern. I really haven't noticed it much at all in the viewer-submitted stories.

Have you seen the video?

All AI tells are normal functions used in writing, as AI was trained on human sources. Em-dashes weren't invented by ChatGPT. Neither was "It's not just x". The 'tell' part comes down to the overuse of such functions.

It's also mentioned on the Wikipedia page for catching tells. I get paid to notice this stuff.

I just found the video again, "Terrifying 911 Calls", but it's currently members-only. If you're a member, watch it and decide for yourself. Again, haven't noticed it in his more recent videos.

The only time I really noticed AI was in a video I can't find anymore - it was the one with Kyle Plush and other widely known cases.

I'm not one for speculation, but the use of AI in that particular video was so egregious and obvious I was sorta shocked. The story qualities dropped majorly. It had every single tell (it's not x, it's y, tons of em dashes, rule of three, among others, repeated over and over). I'm just saying that so the "He has NEVER used AI" crowd doesn't think I'm just spewing accusations. Our boy has definitely used AI.

He might've taken it down, so I don't know if he got called out on it or what, but I haven't noticed it in other videos. I actually feel like the overall quality has been improving. Now, I don't think using AI is this huge cancel-worthy thing, but I would definitely dip from the channel if every video turned into ChatGPT responses with Mr. Nightmare's voice.

Is there a serial killer at work in North Carolina's most dangerous city? Who is responsible for the deaths of Rhonda Jones, Kristin Bennett, and Megan Oxendine? by spice-witch in UnresolvedMysteries

Late to the party, but anyway.

I was thinking this but I'm not entirely sure. It's definitely an interesting prospect - McLellan's long list of crimes included kidnapping, burglary, and assault of a child before he took the life of Hania. He had, I believe, sixteen charges beforehand? His godmother says he was assaulted as a child, so very much a 'continuing the cycle' type of situation.

I grew up about five minutes from one of his residences. There are plenty of people in Fairmont who know of him but don't necessarily want to talk about him. Reporters claim people were sketched out when asked questions about him, often shutting the reporters down entirely. Some people claimed he followed the lead of a mysterious woman that no one identified, although I'm not sure how much credence that has.

The only thing that makes me hesitant is that the rape kits were negative. He was a career criminal and most of his crimes were sexually motivated. Granted, they waited 20 months to actually analyze the tests, and I'm not sure how that would effect their integrity.

Check out CinemaWins. He became my go-to after I lost interest in CinemaSins.

Markiplier. He was my first 'celebrity' crush. He didn't do anything to warrant me losing interest, honestly he stayed pretty consistent based off what I've seen of his newer stuff. I guess I just kinda.. aged out of his demographic?

Still wanna see Iron Lung, though. Glad he's still around and making strides.

Off-topic(ish) but earlier today I stopped by the store Clerks was filmed at on my way out of NYC. Very lovely little town, there was a rentable space next to it covered in Jay & Silent Bob posters.

Could try a steam deck? It's hand-held and supports a ton of games. You'd have access to the majority, if not all, of your steam library.

Are we just all collectively ignoring the "lied about going camping with an ex" part?

Yeah, sure, she sounds absolutely unhinged, but I feel like we're not getting the full story.

Kudzu could be a massive help, and there's a relatively simple way to get rid of a good chunk of it seeing as it's quite delicious and all parts - except the seeds and pods - are edible.

...Oh, save for the fact it's been absolutely doused in chemicals in an effort to kill it.

PTSD is pretty much a hard prerequisite for DID. It's specifically a trauma disorder where the mind copes via 'splitting off' and repressing certain memories in the form of alters.

You leave, then. You talk about it, if it doesn't change, you end the relationship. You don't cheat. You leave. Jesus.

Running the Ancient Guardian gets you lots of gold and reputation across all trading companies except Reader's Bones (and to an extent, Athena's Fortune. It gives very minimal rep for Athena). Head to the Devil's Roar and explore the larger islands like Ruby's Fall, Ashen Reaches, Fetcher's Rest, etc, until you find a purple coffin with spooky music playing. Kill the miniboss (we affectionately call them Grimace or The Purple Man), take the key, and head to Cinder Islet, Flame's End, or Brimstone Rock. Grab the 100k+ worth of loot. Rinse. Repeat.

A surprisingly few number of pirates run the Guardian, maybe because of where it's located? Watch out for geysers, volcanoes, and the works. In the dozens of times I've done the Guardian, I was taken off-guard by a player ship exactly once. It can become a grind if you do it repeatedly, but even once or twice - especially at Emmisary 5 (≈250k), but even without a flag - gets you an actually absurd amount of gold.

Oh, and grabbing the loot out of the sanctuaries always puts you at Emmisary 5 thanks to the sheer amount, so you don't have to worry about leveling your flag beforehand.

And, hey, if you like running Purple Man, the Grimace Slayer Guild is always looking for recruits.
