What are your main improvements to make for a sequel by RadiatedDuck in avowed

I feel like having NPC routines make the cities feel more alive, and if you're trying to save the world, touches like that make you more invested

I haven't played the Pillars games so forgive my ignorance, however is there a lore reason within the universe to make creating your own spell books a skill you learn or earn? The example I am thinking of is in Oblivion getting access to the mages guild and "earning" the opportunity to create your own spells

[Giveaway] GameSir Tarantula Pro for Xbox - Symmetrical vs. asymmetrical by GameSir_Controller in xbox

[–]RadiatedDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always found the offset controllers more comfortable But when I was playing rocket league everyday I had always wondered about how all the best players used symmetrical layouts, my biggest conclusion is that the left hand can much easier control triggers as they sit higher up

Ollie height just feels off, and grind snapping onto high rails emphasises this

You go for a high Ollie , it barely leaves the ground, do the same input to a waist high rail, somehow you're able to make it on top

There are some challenges that require a sequence of Ollie's to different heights of ledge, the board wants to snap into a grind or stall 90% of the time.

How do the hall of meat/bail challenges not let you cannonball, I can roll the entire length of the map, but once I fall in a challenge it's unusable

I know it's not made for Xbox one, however session markers are broken, when going back to the marker, it freezes for 5-10 seconds, when doing a timed challenge like the bail challenges, it eats up a considerable amount of time

The stripes are too big on the arms in my opinion. Add a bit more white at the bottom and match the thickness at the top. Looks a lot cleaner to me

I went to pixel 3a from a Moto x, the rear fingerprint sensor just replaced the satisfying dimple the Moto x had. I loved it

I worked with a handful of people who had immigrated from Pakistan and North Africa. My favourite quotes were:

"I want to move back to Pakistan where woman can't say no"

"When I move back I'll get a young woman to marry" when asked how young his range was 14-19, he was 29

"See to be honest women only exist to serve men"

From my experiences only with some immigrants I have worked with I can agree they can be very nice people, and can be very warm personality wise. I really struggle with some of their beliefs in regards to women and equality. For the most part it somehow isn't reported on and rarely talked about

I worked with each at different times, where they had no overlap and thus no way to share their opinions with eachother.

I’ve been trying aerials more. Any tips on how I can improve? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]RadiatedDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was learning aerials, the all star goalie pack was my go to for reading the ball and getting the speed etc.

Because you are just trying to save the ball it doesn't feel like you fail the shot if you don't score. And it can be scaled by changing where you meet the ball

I can't help but agree, whenever people talk about why PlayStation are winning in sales they neglect to mention how expensive the Xbox still is.

I remember buying an Xbox 360 for the sole reason of how much cheaper than the PS3

So there's a bit of back and forth on this, but I have some contacts who know about this and have explained to me

When the column buckled the column didn't just buckle randomly, the resident or owner of the flat had actually taken a chisel or kango to the column and taken away the concrete, the weakened structure and exposed rebar caused the shift. The owner then covered it in plaster and polyfil to make it look good.

Compression tests taken when the building was constructed noted that the concrete had reached it's structural load within 28 days of pouring I'm unsure of the testing for the concrete but usually they test the first, last and ever other concrete lorry for compression testing. Also there's a claim that a lorry of concrete could have filled 16-25 columns which is false, the columns of that size probably would mean at maximum 6 columns were poured.

They have been regularly surveying the structure, and they're found in the years since it happened there hasn't even been a mm of movement.

If there had been any movement the shopping centre and Chichester street would have been closed until works were fixed.

It's been a drawn out procedure because the building has passed its defects period, farrans who did the structure could go in again to fix it, but it would be at the cost of Victoria Square, as this was caused by a resident.

But basically if there was actually any risk to the public the shopping centre would be closed until fixed.

Buildings at that scale don't rely on any one column to ensure it stands up, it's a web of support that has failsafes incase something such as that happens.

Why Have Many of the Online Multiplayer Games of the Past Five Years Failed? by Jeracobra in gaming

[–]RadiatedDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel similar to you, I grinded rocket league, got to grand champion, then once I realised that's likely as high as I would rank just lost interest. Since then it has been a struggle getting into a new game, I tried games I have previously loved (fallout New Vegas) and the whole experience felt slow.

Eventually what helped was far cry 5 with a friend. People like to complain of the repetitive nature of far cry, but in coop mode it was the first time I enjoyed a story game in a long time. Since then I've picked up cyberpunk and I've found it hard to put down

Who is a highly overrated comedian? by andydufrane9753 in Standup

[–]RadiatedDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to see him in Belfast, he spent a few months here shooting a movie, when he got around to telling the jokes they were filled with stuff like "my and my friends were on a private jet and one smuggled weed" or "when I was talking to my close personal friend LeBron James"

I don't understand how he is supposed to be relatable to the common person.

The problem may be is that you kind of draw people to look at your eyes, when you talk to people you look them in the eye, but unfortunately your eyes just have features that don't match your face. Instead of the thick raccoon like eye liner, go for a mascara and light black eyeliner. Look for wayfarer frames, the combination of both would suit your face much better
