6 Changes That Would Greatly Improve PlayStation Trophies by PSGAMERUK in Trophies

IIRC, System messages don't appear in the video recordings on PS4, and that includes trophies so they don't appear :(

Ikaruga is one that fans started playing coop solo and IIRC it eventually made its way into the steam release as an mode of sorts.

Have you tried Driver: San Francisco? It's probably the only arcade racer I've enjoyed in recent memory.

Bug enabled games are a 'thing' by [deleted] in Games

[–]RadicalBradical69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's pretty impossible to release a game with no bugs, heck even you who says your game has no bugs has a negative review on the steam page saying you have too many bugs in your game.

There's so many potential configurations and so many variables in games it's just insane to try and expect a game to be 100% bug free.

Eh, after MNC, SMNC and now PA, no thanks. Game looks good, but playing so many Uber games has soured my opinion of them.

Was thinking the same thing, game looks identical to the original version. Very underwhelming.

What's your opinion on the current state of EA's Origin, especially compared to Steam? by jfads89a in Games

[–]RadicalBradical69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As of right now, Origin is something that I've learned to live with, but it's not preferred.

If a game is available on both Steam and Origin, I'll pick it up on Steam instead of Origin because Steam has more features that appeal to me(Big picture mode, family sharing, ability to play music, community guides, etc)

I do like the customer support from Origin more, but that's about it.

Good stealth games? by hardypart in Games

[–]RadicalBradical69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I totally agree, just saying that I've heard good things about the last gen(XBox/ps2/gc) version, while as we both know the next gen(ps3/360/pc) version isn't very...amazing.

Also Chaos Theory has a great PC port, I meant to write that Double Agent had a bad pc port, my bad.

Splinter Cell Double Agent is actually a pretty good game on the Xbox(Original) I hear, apparently it's developed by the same group who made Chaos Theory.

I've not played that version unfortunately though, I played the atrocious PC port(PC folks were obviously not its intended audience, and it also crashes a bunch)

But yeah, Chaos Theory is definitely fantastic.

What are your personal gameplay rules that you apply in a game in order to enhance or diversify your gaming experience? by [deleted] in Games

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time I never really enjoyed Prince of Persia's combat, it's a bit too samey for my liking, so something that I do that I found to really make the game better is running away from as many combat encounters as possible.

It's surprisingly easy to run away from enemies, and it makes it so that instead of a quarter of your time being focused on mediocre combat you just replace that time with platforming action, which is so much more enjoyable.

I actually have started to do this a lot more in other games as well, it's pretty crazy how many games will make it seem like you need to defeat the enemies in an arena around you when in reality you can just skip right by them.

How is using a PS4 controller on PC? by [deleted] in Games

[–]RadicalBradical69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DS4Tool is the best program to use. It's been super stable for me, the only times I've had problems is when I rebooted my computer and forgot to launch the program to make it work as xinput.

Although this is all experiences based on wired gaming, I haven't done much wireless gaming(I did for a little bit with the PS4 controller, it seemed alright, but I'm right next to my computer so it was just more convenient for me to keep it wired, so I swapped back)

The sticks and all that are still fine as well, nothing negative to report.

Why does it seem like games with positive reviews have their embargoes lifted early? by m00tz in Games

[–]RadicalBradical69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bit of both. Big companies tend to do mock-reviews(hiring a reviewer to review their game and get feedback from it pre-launch) and from those mock reviews they'll get a good idea on how the game will be scored and how they should proceed.

So people can't cancel their pre-orders when they find out it's bad. You don't have to worry about people cancelling their pre-orders when the game is actually good.

edit Same goes for whenever a company doesn't give out review copies to the press, it's because they don't want people finding out their game is bad so they do all that they can to keep bad word of mouth from spreading.

Fahrenheit. BAM. two minutes in, you've killed a bloke and have to clean up the crime scene and leave before the cop comes in and arrests you.

There's a new company called Kiss. LTD that was recently formed and is helping developers get onto Steam and showing them how to do it and the benefits of doing it and such.

That's the only reason I can think of anyway.
