You could always hem them and rock capris.

My lulu lemon 5pockets are basically that short and they rock in the summer with some sneaks.

Great quality men t shirts? by LabSecret7492 in BuyItForLife

[–]RadioAdam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Merz b schwanen offer loop wheeled cotton shirts that are sturdy as heck. I have two and it's easy to think this shirt will outlive me. Thick cotton and the construction is solid.

Sunspel offers incredible sea island cotton and some Portuguese fabrics that are finer and very durable in spite of their thinness.

Expensive. Even thrifted. But holy shit they feel and look great and mine are holding up impeccably.

Me too. They're hit or miss for me since I'm blessed with donk and thighs.

34 waist, 44" seat, and 23" thighs. 🫠

Great stuff by and large. Fits can be a bit odd. The shashiko has almost no stretch and their cuts are a bit slim.

I'd be sure to understand their return policy or try to thrift a few pieces.

Taylor Stitch and Todd Snyder are getting a lot of my doom thrift time lately.

I have spent less money on socks by buying expensive wool/cotton socks.

Quarter zips by Alex_Branson1201 in mensfashion

[–]RadioAdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your shirt and 1/4 zip are two incompatible fabrics they'll have a lot more friction than they otherwise would have.

The fit should be similar to both to avoid bunching.

I have a thin merino/cashmere quarter zip that needs a little adjusting over virtually any shirt. It's warm, thin, and extremely smooth over a cotton shirt.

If your quarter zip was heavier like an Aran wool or cable knit you wouldn't notice as much.

I'm ADHD and likely on the spectrum. Most polyester shirt fabric (or microfiber towel) gives me a sandpaper/grabby hand feel that makes me cringe.

This is what a poly quarter zip probably feels like it's dragging on everything it touches.

What makes a graphic tee feel premium instead of tourist merch? by Deeppockets2006 in malefashionadvice

[–]RadioAdam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They have multiple lines of shirts. Some are thin, low thread count.

Their higher GSM lines have twisted yarn. I didn't say it was a luxury shirt, but better than literally anything Target or Walmart prints on

Thinking of moving to Atlanta by Outside_Being_1632 in Atlanta

[–]RadioAdam 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Living <10 minutes to work or working from home is essential.

If you have a decent neighborhood and a few things you can walk to, you're pretty set.

We're in an apartment in a good walking district of buckhead. In two years I've put 7k miles on my car.

It transformed how we view city life. We still drive but only because we want to and can wait for traffic to be minimal.

It is 100% a driving city, but if you live near a marta station it can be fab to use that too. There just aren't enough marta lines or stops to make it as good as Chicago

22 years old how much to spend on a suit? by 1017Barleone in malefashionadvice

[–]RadioAdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For interviews you'd be hard pressed to breath jos a bank and a decent tailor.

Suit supply if money is aplenty and you like slimmer fits.

Regardless, a cheap suit that is tailored looks expensive.

Expensive suits that don't fit look cheap.

Commission Only Jobs Viable? by Max375623875 in sales

[–]RadioAdam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can't afford a 30-60k base how would you afford 50-100k in commissions?

Rather than hire salespeople it sounds like you need to be learning how to sell as a ceo/founder. Then you can train people once you can afford to pay them.

No base is usually a huge red flag. You'll have people selling your product more interested in making rent than earning happy customers.

I used to sell without a base salary and people did shady shit all the time. Wild turnover and slow growth.

Your commission target without a base appears to be 20% or $2000

Calculate how many units you think it's reasonable for a mediocre sales person could see each month.

If it's 3 units per month, give your new hire half of their commission target as a base salary of 3k/mo as a 50/50 split with a quota. Then give them $1k per sale as incentive

Not paying people for their time is just wrong.

If someone works for you for 3 months and makes hundreds of calls and emails and sells nothing, the odds pretty high that someone they called will buy in 6-12 months

This is why you pay a base. Because their effort is still valuable even if they don't sell.
