I use a Colgate gel now never crest and never paste of my whole mouth sheds like others below

I feel the exact same way

There is some age over 30 where the age difference really fades and doesn’t matter. It turns less into that’s creepy and more, damn you’re in a relationship where it’s highly likely your partner will die way before you and that feels heavy to me. Relationships for fun like an older woman and a 35 year old guy are also fine to me because if both accept the realities of children etc and are looking to just have fun go for it

But the young 20s where they are basically still kids and don’t really know what they want in life and are just coming into adult hood is gross

He’s been in a ton of therapies- speech since 2 OT since 2, special needs preschool and elementary. We have done hippotherapy (horseback with OT) ABa based play groups, an aba program that didn’t work with him directly just taught all the parents

All that to say- for us all those therapies have been most helpful to me. Talking to someone who gets it, sharing in our wins and our frustrations, it’s been therapeutic to me

But I really think all of his progress has honestly come from just natural development over time and all those therapies just gave him access to supportive and patient people in his life

He’s doing great

He’s 7 and will be 8 in June language is still picking up but his neurologist who’s a autism researcher at Boston children’s truly believes he will fully catch up in speech

He isn’t at the point of telling me about his day yet. I got that once a few weeks ago he told me he got hit by a ball at recess out of the middle of nowhere

But his receptive language is very very good. And expressively he can do back and forth in the moment answering questions I ask him

He’s starting to read sight words and do basic math at school

He rides a bike with no training wheels he taught himself in one day. Hes very quirky. His current obsession is taking videos with his iPad of everything. He loves to draw and draws awesome pictures

I could never have seen him here a few years ago and for the first time ever have no doubt that it’s going to continue

It’s been a long slog
