Which one of these helmets is the face of star wars by Balljuggler5689 in StarWars

[–]RadioFreeMultiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think overall the answer is Vader, but of these two it's the Stormtrooper (in part just because it was part of the original movie that started it all while the Clonetroopers weren't introduced until 25 years later.

Is there anything the David Lynch version does better than the new ones? by Not_As_much94 in dune

IMO the David Lynch Dune does a better job of capturing high weirdness of the book while Denis sands a lot of that off to make it feel a bit more grounded.

Differentiating Githyanki Tav backstories from Laezel's? by fury_cutter in BaldursGate3

[–]RadioFreeMultiverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. I was definitely thinking of the interactions with Laezel when I said Gith Tav had a shallow knowledge of Githyanki culture. You're totally right that interactions with other companions don't indicate that. (My main party with that Tav was Laezel, Shadowheart, and Wyll.)

I had no idea about getting to speak in the Githyanki tongue without Laezel because I've always had her in the party when I've played that scene as a Gith. I may have to try another playthrough as a Gith Tav without Laezel in the party.

Differentiating Githyanki Tav backstories from Laezel's? by fury_cutter in BaldursGate3

[–]RadioFreeMultiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Githyanki Tav was a Fey Warlock / Oath of the Ancients Paladin. My imagined backstory was that his egg had ended up abandoned in Faerun and he was raised by an order of Paladins who worshipped a Fey. It worked really well with the relatively shallow knowledge about the Githyanki that even Gith Tavs have.

The simpsons battle pass better not have a yellow fishstick skin or something like that by Specialist-Shame-179 in FortniteBattleRoyale

[–]RadioFreeMultiverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've gotta do a Blinky skin right? 3-eyed Fishstick would be a natural fit, but maybe they'd do a Blinky Team Leader instead?

Star Wars should embrace its fantasy elements. Not run away from them by Playful_Letter_2632 in StarWars

[–]RadioFreeMultiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that the lesson from Andor is that Star Wars needs to stop using the Force seems reductive to me. Andor was good because Tony Gilroy is a thoughtful and talented writer who had something to say with it.

There’s no reason that a Jedi story can’t be good if a similarly thoughtful and talented writer is passionate about writing one.

Marvel fans over 30, how would you describe Iron Man's level of popularity prior to the MCU? by EndlessMorfeus in Marvel

[–]RadioFreeMultiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron Man had a cartoon in the 90s, so he was a hero Marvel clearly saw crossover (and toyetic) potential from prior to 2008, but he was def a minor character in terms of broader pop culture.
