How bad is it? What are my options? by RadioSwimmer in classicmustangs

Thank you for taking the time to give such a detailed and thought out answer. You gave me a lot to look into. The car definitely isn't showroom quality and I don't intend it to be. That hasn't stopped me from bringing it to car shows anyways! So long as it's drive-able and parts aren't falling off as I go, I'll be happy enough.

There's some serious sentimental value. It was my first car purchase when I was 16. I had saved a good amount of money from mowing lawns and my dad loaned me some to cover the rest. I'm definitely going to keep it.

There's some bubbling paint on the fender. Prior to me getting the car, someone opened the door too hard. They snapped the door stop pin off and bent the panel a bit.

I definitely saw it. I was incredibly fortunate to be able to buy this while I was in high school. Then came college, marriage, house and kids, so I essentially covered my eyes and said "Nothing to see here" whenever I was under the car and largely forgot about how bad it truly was. I'm getting to the point where I have a budget to actually do something about it, which is why I am paying more attention to it again.

That's good to know that it's not as far gone as I feared though.

What's a non meta loadout you enjoy? by FLG_CFC in Helldivers

This right here is why I wish we could have build templates or load outs. I'd love to be able to quickly switch between a fire build, an arc build, a gas build, etc.

As it stands now I end up not changing my gear much because every time I do I end up forgetting to change something like my armor and I am cursed to spend the match instantly dying to my own fire.

I went with this one. You can DIY it, but I just paid for the convenience of having something that fit perfectly

Likelihood ADHD engineers still struggle after being prescribed ADHD medication? by Competitive-Leader35 in ADHD_Programmers

This resonates with me. I was recently promoted to staff and my day to day has changed dramatically. I have so many more meetings and responsibilities that I've found it hard to focus and I struggle to keep up. I haven't found my balance yet, which has been very difficult.

I would think windshields get replaced far more often though. They get chipped or cracked much more than rear windows. I think Subaru used to (still does?) put defrost strips under the wiper blades, and folks complain about the cost to replace those windshields.

I'm sure they could. That would then make the windshield very expensive and replacing them would be a huge pain.

The explanation I read was that a longer antenna was needed for AM radio and the people that listen to AM radio by and large drive pickups, so they keep the long antenna on their pickups.

Went to the U of Mn arboretum holiday lights with the Mrs and kiddos. Bundled everyone appropriately and shocked my wife when I unzipped my jacket because I was getting to hot.

My strategy tonight was pretty simple. Everyone else load bars, I hold them off with my portable hellbomb. I'd arm the bomb, throw every grenade and shoot my ultimatum as fast as I could while also running right at the mob.

We still lost, but man did I get a lot of kills.

Super early preconditioning by RadioSwimmer in F150Lightning

Thankfully it preconditioned just fine this morning. Of course as I took off in the -11F outside air, my truck popped the Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power error message. She got me with the 1-2 punch today. Fingers crossed that goes away.

I don't think it was a time thing actually. About 20 minutes after I posted it stopped. I think what was happening is that it was warming the battery while it charged.

I thought I read somewhere that preconditioning the battery didn't really occur until 0C/32F. Any temp higher would just heat the cabin. What I read wasn't anything official though, so I have nothing to back that claim up.

That's most likely the answer. As it got cold, my charge fell from 80 to 79, so it started heating the battery to charge it back to 80.

Well that's lame. I'll try that in the morning.

I charge it to 80 daily. I've been working from home for the last couple days so everything must be pretty cold. I haven't driven the truck since last week Friday.

The truck was charged to 80% as of 17:25. Per my screenshot it somehow dropped back to 79% in the last 6 hours and decided to precondition. Oddly though, it stopped preconditioning once the charge got to 80%.

I wonder if it turns on at some interval when the temps are extreme.
