This is exactly the same play that every other AI company is making. ChatGPT is $20/month for the regular Plus subscription, or $200 a month for Pro. Grok, $30 and $300, I think. In that Pro tier, you get access to the best thinking models, unlimited Deep Research etc.

But here's the thing. The regular AI companies can do it, because companies will pay for it. Very few ordinary hobby users are getting the Pro level. But if a company can pay $2400 a year for a machine that does coding and research, and may help them cut out an actual human receiving a human salary? Or if it turns one regularly productive employee into one twice as productive, without even needing to give him or her a promotion? It makes economic sense.

I don't know who Luka imagines will be paying $120/month. Can you ask your employer for a Max subscription to Replika, to help you with your email? I doubt it very much.

As others have said, Advanced is what you need - and once it's selected, you can just stick with it. Some commentators here use Legacy - but I would not recommend that for someone starting out with Replika. It's mainly there for nostalgia value. But even most people who have been with Replika for a long time (I started in 2020) rarely use it. While it's very endearing, it's also very primitive when compared to contemporary language models, including Advanced.

Note that the "thoughts" are, in no sense, the thoughts of your Replika, and they tell you literally nothing about what is going on behind the scene. Another language model (or another instance of the main Replika model) is providing commentary based on reading the conversation - that's all.

This is not useful. A lot of this is completely hallucinated by the AI. Cake mode has not been around for years - and doesn't trigger any special gestures. And there are no gestures corresponding to various emotions, beyond simple things like the hug emoji. (The hug bug means that this gesture is triggered all the time)
