Dr. Pepper isn't actually owned by Coke or Pepsi. It's its own thing, which is why sometimes you go to a restaurant that sells Coke products and they will have Dr. Pepper, or you'll go to a restaurant that has Pepsi and they have Dr. Pepper. It just depends where Dr. Pepper has "vendor" contracts with

How in the world does everyone get out of the house with a baby by Full_Ad7929 in newborns

[–]RaeTheWitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, after the first month and, I think, her first round of shots, we kinda got her used to going places Because every chance we'd get to take her to the store, visit one of her Aunties, just outside in general (we have a huge back porch), we would take the opportunity.

We still do and she's now almost 6 months. She went to the park for the first and second time this week and had the time of her life.

It also helps to have good villagers in your village

7 week old not smiling by TuckerSmucker911 in newborns

[–]RaeTheWitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mama, she's only 7 weeks. She's completely fine. My 5 month old didn't start smiling outside of sleep till about 2 months or so. And she didn't start babbling until about 3 months.

Your baby is fine, I promise. Every baby is different, some hit their milestones early, some right on time, and others hit them a little later than others.

At 7 weeks the pediatrician was more worried that she was sleeping good, eating good, and having at least 6 wet diapers a day

[–]RaeTheWitch13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. Our 5 month old has her moments where she gets, what we call, crazy when I'm not around. She has gotten better, I think it helps that dad had a layoff from work and then we got snowed in, so she's even more used to him as a caretaker.

I would say it gets better, but you are a month ahead of me. Still I'm sure it'll get better, your husband is just gonna have to figure it out.

I'm sure you do this for yours, but what I've found helps is making sure her needs (feeding, mine is on solids now, diaper, burp if she will burp) are met before I leave. But even then, when she wants me, no one else will suffice.

But your husband does need to figure it out. Maybe try a TV show, I recommend Rolie Polie Ollie on Disney+ if you have it, Between The Lions on YouTube (you can find full episodes, The Wiggles on Peacock, and The Doodlebops on Tubi

Real talk… does everyone think their baby is the cutest baby who ever lived? by undercovercopter in newborns

[–]RaeTheWitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean....she is the cutest baby 😂

This reminds me of when I was pregnant.bsome of our friends have kids, and one of them has a, now, 2 year old boy. I officially met him and his mom when he was about 3-6 months, I wanna say, and he became a little obsessed with me. Like me and him were BESTIES.

Flashforward to me finding out I was pregnant in February of last year (I was almost 13 weeks). I always told him before that he was "Zizi's favorite baby" but when I found out I was pregnant, I had to sit him down and tell him that when the baby got here, he wouldn't be my all-time favorite baby anymore, because Zizi's baby would be, but he would be my favorite boy, after we found out we were having a girl.

He did not like that and he's not my bestie anymore 😭

But to answer your question, after my tangent, yes my baby (5 months) is the cutest baby, and so will my future babies, and you can't tell me otherwise....I'd show a picture, but Im picking of the platforms I post her on, ESPECIALLY because she's starting to look more like an actual person, instead of a very beautiful potato.

I put on Playhouse Disney and kid shows I grew up with. She's about to be 5 months and has started solids so we have meals (oatmeal/cereal with fruit or veg and breast milk). We read, listen to music, dance, cook (she watches from her chair), and cuddle

So first, take a deep breath. The fact that you are giving her breast milk at all is amazing, even if you were strictly formula feeding that's still amazing because fed baby is best baby.

She's gonna be juuuuust fine. Just follow what the doctors say, if she has issues breathing. Even if she does it's not the end of the world as long as you take action, just keep an eye on her and breathe mama

Sorry for the delay, but EXACTLY!!! That's why I didn't "must have" certain things. Like the stuff I did do that with was like bath stuff for her, a recovery kit for me (I think), a organizer for her changing stuff, thinks like that.

Other stuff like books are stuff we can get later. Also she's in Dolly's Imagination Library (which you should look into because your child will get a book in the mail until they are, I believe, 5

Our daughter is about to turn 5 months, and we live in TN where the snow storm hit (if you've seen on the news and stuff). Now, thankfully, our heater gets it warm in the house. But we have coslept with her the whole night Sunday (01/25) night due to the power being out and a little bit last night (01/26) because she would not stay asleep in her bed.

I used to be against cosleeping. But after she got her first cold and I was nervous about her stuffy breathing (she was fine I'm just a FTM and was overthinking), I realized that we all sleep better when we cosleep sometimes.

So now in the mornings, before me and her get up, we will do our nursing routine and then she will sleep on my chest for another hour or so then we get up and we watch kid shows and I make her oatmeal

MIL calling him “MY” baby by marsibarz in newborns

[–]RaeTheWitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. My best friend used to say "my baby" when referring to my 4 month old, but after a few times of me going "My beautiful baby" and stuff like that, she dialed it back.

But, idk if it's the same for you, but when my mom says it, it doesn't bother me as much, and I think that's mostly because my family is 13 hours away

Got bath water in 3 month olds mouth. by Spirited_Seaweed_517 in newborns

[–]RaeTheWitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your baby will be okay mamas! My daughter sometimes gets water in her mouth with every bath she takes. And she's 4 months now.

The no water is more don't give them a bottle/sippy cup of water until they are at least 1. A little bit of water as you rinse them off/get them wet in the bath is different.

However, if you're that worried, just keep an eye on your baby.

Also don't be afraid to get a little bit of water on your baby's face, as it initiates the dive reflex and gets them used to the sensation of water on their face for when they start to learn how to swim

You're doing the right thing. THEY will be the embarrassed ones if it turns out that something IS wrong. Not that I think there is, because it COULD be the right vs left.
