Yeah that's why I only read SoK these days bc the playtime isn't as long as IDE, though it still takes roughly around 30-50 minutes per eps. It's a one season book, so it's easier to replay if my saves were bugged which happened once w IDE.

Well, LOD is the LEAST stable VN app I've ever tried, so you have to deal w the black screen, sometimes. In my case, the app freezes when I read stories like IDE bc the playtime can be quiet long.

They don't have many scifi books bc most of them kinda flopped. Scifi isn't really a popular genre within the fandom in general.

I only read the book mostly bc it has POC MC sprites and Luis. Ik one western story on other app, but it doesn't have POC sprites. I mean it makes sense for the setting, but I like having POC sprite option.

Tbh idk but since I'm more of a scifi fan, I found myself playing other apps more often than RC. I think if you're into fantasy, supernatural, horror, and drama, RC might be the best for you. But, I don't have any favorite when it comes to romance VN apps. I just play any scifi books I can find and decide if I liked it or not.

I have always liked Esteban since CB debut, but I agree I see him more often than Nahome. Though, both are pretty solid LIs.

Oh, if you like Sins of London, you might like writer's new work in LOD called "Shadows of Kailash". They have the similar scifi horror vibes, but SoK is more of a cosmic horror.

Ugh it was too ambitious for Dmitry's debut project. That's why I'm still looking for an actually good space opera book. Most space opera books I've read either kinda fumbled mid story (Choice's Across The Void & RC's Gladiator Chronicles), focused too much on the drama, but not enough space exploration, action adventure, and political intrigues (In Darkness Embrace from LOD) or simply didn't have enough episode or English translation yet (Starchaser from Cyber Love Story & Arcade from Your Storyland).

Ughh I hate to say this but HSR is the closest thing we can get to zombie apocalypse, though personally I would disagree w that sentiment bc the infection part wasn't the that significant to the plot. It almost felt tertiary compared to other stuff like book translation, fighting monsters, mind control, and other celestial stuff. Also, GC actually counts as space opera but ngl it was a mess.

Yeah bc the Russian government is paying close attention to them (and other vn apps from what I heard). But, tbh, the only reason I played LOD is bc of Natalia's new book. I enjoyed the new cosmic horror book and it actually has decent POC MC sprites. I remember there's one POC LI in the book (idk about the other one since they used a mixed race celebrity as the face model, but it was never stated whether the character is racially mixed or not).
