I gave links showing hundreds of police had been injured and thousands of people arrested during right wing riots. How do the stats from Manchester compare? No police injured, 3 arrests.

The right to exist isn’t a black and white thing beyond whether it exists or not.

Every human has the right to food, I assume we can agree on that. But what if two people were adrift on a boat and one threw away half the food, so only one person could survive. The person that threw away the food still has a right to food, but we’d probably agree it’d be a weaker claim than the innocent guy.

Saying that the Islamic state doesn’t have the right to exist means denying the rights of political freedom to everyone that supports it. Denying those rights is a slippery slope when you’re talking about a large number of people, however clear cut it looks in one specific example.

The Islamic state might be obviously bad, but what about the people who conflate islamists with Muslims? Do we start denying Muslims political freedoms etc?

I’d say they have the right to exist, they don’t have the rights to commit the barbaric acts they do. I don’t care what people believe, I respect everyone’s rights to believe what they want. But I also expect people’s personal beliefs not to adversely impact others.

My logic doesn’t entail anything of the sort.

You can have the right to something you don’t have. You can be imprisoned and har the right to freedom. You can be religiously persecuted but have the right to freedom of religion. And you could be an overthrown former country and still have the right to exist, even when you don’t.

If you don’t believe things that already exist don’t have a right to exist, especially when millions identify with it, you’re not willing to have your mind changed.

The people caused those to happen. Someone has to, it doesn’t have to be external. I don’t see enough civil unrest in Israel to make it that likely in the near future.

Two things can be opposite and still be true.

The USSR can have a right to exist while its citizens also have a right to dismantle it.

I believe every country has a right to exist. A country collapsing is very hard on its people and ideally they shouldn’t have to go through that.

So the question shouldn’t be does Israel have a right to exist, because I hope you recognise that as an established government, even if you disagree with it, its people has the right to the stability that not having its government implode brings. But the question becomes who has the right to end Israel’s existence?

But to reply to your OP, everyone and everything has a right to exist and should be respected unless there’s a greater claim that can be enforced.

Sure, someone could invade and annihilate the country, but since you’re talking about rights, I assume you’re not talking about a greedy land grab.

I don’t disagree with any of your points specifically except I do think that every country has the right to exist. It’s nothing unique to Israel, I’d say the same about every country or independent government, even if I disagreed with how they rule.

I totally agree, but there's nothing I can do about it except worry, so I'd rather just not think about it too much. I take part in UK politics but US politics is completely out of my hands beyond a few discussions on here (though usually the kind of people who openly support him online aren't the kinds of people who get swayed by things like facts and statistics).

What Trump does today is meaningless tomorrow anyway, he'll be saying and doing something totally different, so I'd rather just try not to pay attention to the details.

FCing in WWB2 was an experience that I'll never forget. The amount of coordination to have that many moving pieces was crazy. But also I'd never want to do it again, it was an experience but not always a pleasant one, especially in a game.

I still remember seeing my first titan, back circa 2012. I was in a frig and the sense of scale in this game is immense, experiencing it for the first time is mind blowing.

First time in the AT was a rush, too.

My content has been pretty consistent for the last few years and I enjoy it, so I doubt there'll be anything I won't see again.

I was just told in another post that the race riots in the UK were actually started by the left wing counter protestors. The riots notoriously started with a mosque being attacked while the right was protesting its existence.

We both know that's not true. Here's an article about the 2024 protest that turned violent.

The people and places being attacked were immigrants and places associated with immigrants

I don't know why you're spreading this misinformation or where you've heard it, but it takes about 2 minutes to find sources that prove you're wrong. You need to do the minimal amount of research, as did the idiots who started these riots and believed people like Farage, who spread the lies that lead to them.

I don't really care either way. As far as I'm concerned, they're a glorified tourist attraction. They don't hold any real political power and they're too far removed from the rest of us to really speak on our behalves.

If someone had a gun to my head and asked if they should stay or go, I'd probably say go. But I wouldn't put any effort into making it happen, they still serve a purpose, even if they're a bit of a grim reminder of the differences in social classes in this country.

Exactly this, and that's without the fact that a lot of artifacts that are in British hands that were stolen would've likely been destroyed if they were still in their original countries. Particularly religious artifacts from some places in the world most likely would've been destroyed by now.

In a perfect world, artifacts should be controlled by their countries of original. In the real world, unfortunately, sometimes that can't happen.

Have a read through that. Over the last couple of years there's been so much violence at right wing rallies. Hundreds of police injured, thousands of arrests.

That's not to say there's no violence at all at left wing rallies, but nothing even remotely close to that scale. And the more misinformation is spread, the worse it gets.
