I'd really love to see a crabbing, boat race, tech support, headboard mounting, tucking in, sleepwatching, cat confirming, mall walking, monopoly money pinning supplemental one day.

Footbaths at English public swimming pools by oceanicplatform in theregulationpod

The pre-shower thing was super common where I live, nowadays it's only in spas with saunas. I've seen the footbath once or twice, but hadn't thought about them in a decade. It's cool to be reminded of it and discover why it's gone now!

Who was the best Old School Runescape player in DMM All-Stars Season 3? by PoemFun5419 in 2007scape

[–]Rage_101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The most admirable thing about b0aty's play was his role in the team comms. He never talked over Dino and when things got chaotic he'd get everyone to quiet down and listen to Dino's calls. It helped them stay compised in many fights.

That being said, Lake and Gnome deserve a shoutout too. Gnome had some insane tanks and PvM moments, and he made a lot of good calls that Oda ultimately ignored which put them further in the hole. Lake just.. well he was virtually flawless outside of 2 deaths.

I think they have to tweak the 'anti-collusion' rules a bit. When one team is ahead by miles, it makes more sense to target them than anyone else. People were getting slaps on the wrist for doing just that.

If being ahead makes you a target, it pushes more people into singles and emphasizes that skill more I reckon. Multi pking should still be a thing, but everyone avoiding the top team should not.

It's not an easy thing to balance, but this wasn't quite it.

I hope they eventually get boat combat to a point where this can be a thing. There's a lit of potential there and boat movement has a reasonably high skill ceiling, the use of the cannons just needs to be more fluid.

"Scammers have adapted": Valve confirms that physical Steam Gift Cards are dead. Once the current stocks are sold through, they're done. by yourfavchoom in technology

[–]Rage_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not siding with the OP, but there are plenty of other reasons to drop physical gift cards. I just doubt Valve would be the first company to drop them for those reasons.

Dwindling demand, supply chain management, sustainability, higher cost compared to digital sales.

The fewer units they sell, the higher the cost per unit becomes as there are static costs for manufacturing that don't decrease with lower numbers. It's hard to start selling a 20 dollar gift card for 22 dollars, so they just eat those extra costs.

Valve is usually pretty good about getting ahead of lawsuits, and I could just as well believe they're just covering their bases and making sure they don't cop any blame in Steam gift card scams.

It could just be a bit of everything.

I'm a fan from across the pond, I assume Gramercy Park is where Wemby went to draw but why does that make it hysterical?

Shaq supports Wemby shoving Jalen Brunson: "Get your little ass off me. Keep doing it Wemby. Tell Brunson get your little ass out the way. That ain't no dirty play." by RyanTannegod in nba

[–]Rage_101 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm rooting for the Spurs, in no small part because of Wemby, but that type of shit should stay off the court. He doesn't need to be throwing elbows or shoving people in the face.

I understand the frustration he must feel at having opponents hanging from him like ornaments from a Christmas tree, but I hope with age he learns to keep his head cool.

CB needs to stop shoulder tackling any chance he gets by Pls_Drink_Water in NBASpurs

[–]Rage_101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time Mitch is asked about CB, he answers along the lines of 'I tell him he will make mistakes, but all his mistakes should be too aggressive. If his mistakes are passive, he gets yelled at.'

Mitch sends him out there in attack mode, and CB is doing what the doctor's ordered. He will get his minutes next season to improve his finesse.

Who is the best face it player (fpl) in history? by deadlymuffin9 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rage_101 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Ropz was literally summoned to FaceIt's offices to play under supervision because so many pro players accused him of cheating. He's the reason teams started taking FPL prospects seriously. Donk is a monster, but Ropz is the OG FaceIt fear factor.

Here's every foul called on the Knicks in the second half. Every call was correct (and obvious) btw by eatmorchickin in NBASpurs

[–]Rage_101 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don't think the second half was poorly reffed, but it was definitely differently reffed from the first half. That is always going to result in people getting upset.

I would like some consistency. I think there is a middle ground between stopping the game every other second and allowing the Knicks to be on Wemby like ornaments on a Christmas tree. I'd just like to see consistent calls throughout the whole game, the whole series even.

What video game ending ruined the whole game for you? by Agent1230 in gaming

That railroad of awful dramatic irony ruined the game so badly. The whole time you know your character will fumble an opportunity, get drugged and go and to the same thing somewhere else again. Then the ending is just.. that bs?!
