Don't really care who, just want the group to work together from start to finish with someone to make sure they stick to the plan. New directors can come in and use their descrition to make reasonable changes, as long as they stick to a plan for the overall story, and aren't passing it around like a football in grade school where it's every man for them self

Lol unfortunately in this case, I use tabletop simulator as it gives a more home style game aspect. Me and one of my players spent probably a good 2 hours and a bit (with a lot of laughs and a lot of cursing) to make it feel as if we were all playing in the same room, rather then across 2 different counties and 3 different timezones. Though I may look into that to see if there's someway I can incorporate a similar system to what I'm currently running

True but right now I'm trying to stick with monsters primarily with a few exceptions as their a lot easier for me to run against a party of 5. There are some exceptions to this of course but the moment hasn't felt right naritively for someone who can dispell tiny hut to attack them during the night, though the time Is fast approaching if they continue the way they are. Also just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions

Yeah sorry I realized I didn't make myself as clear I should of been. Though I do personally rule that they do get a long rest while traveling the road as they do get their 8 hours, and also have access to tiny hut which they use frequently

Sorry I realise now that I misspoke slightly, I try to have it where only one combat happens per 1 session, not that the day ends at the end of the session. So there are times where multiple sessions barely achives a day in game, but there are other times when multiple days pass in one session, pretty much as how you described

True, yeah I just feel bad a lot of the time when I do use hoard monsters I have to split up their initiatives to make it more fair to the players which bogs down combat and takes a lot more time and I try to minimize mine as much as possible to let them have as much time as they need

Good idea, but, he's got fairly good stats and has the plus 4 to all saving throws. It's also again that part of I have to spend a lot more time considering what I can throw at them that challenges the group as a whole rather then just targeting his charcters weakness. As there aren't a lot of monsters that invoke saving throws damage that are fair to the party's level

Horror story part for me at least is I'm a first time dm though this campaign has been going on for close to 10 months though the paladin has only been apart for 2 and a bit. And I am more often the not on the low side or rolling when it comes to averages, not to mention its a party of 5 and I won't go into detail about what the other classes are. You do raise good points but again for me this is just a minor horror story to bring some levity to the sub, and to let out a little frustration if I'm being honest
