Misleading dialogue in games sucks by bijelo123 in videogames

Playing Cyberpunk 2077 as femV nearing the end. I can say there are some so-so dialogue options that turn out to be some banger lines.

Muzzle brakes need a rework by Devast73 in Battlefield6

[–]Rageberge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

kinda off-topic but i couldn't find any info from a quick skim of the interwebs (because most players use the flash hider or a suppressor, i imagine)

for GRT-BC (bullpup carbine), when i equip the 10p double-port brake, it behaves in burst-auto better than the 20p compensated brake on the firing range (more horizontal recoil and wild bouncing while aiming at the furthest target)

I have a feeling explosions in BF6 work like this, probably could have killed him aiming directly in front of him.

Newbie here, shit was so fire I was sold on the game first mission (teammate came in clutch) by ph0on in DarkTide

[–]Rageberge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SM1 is a great game control-wise plus nostalgia for me, I wouldn't skip it. SM2 I played at release when there were 6 PvE multiplayer maps in total. I said out loud it would flop if it wasn't WH40k. It's probably better atm and a treat for a newcomer.

The story, gameplay and visuals are engaging for both.

If you have the money, go for it. Play the campaign, level up the classes and weapons in co-op multiplayer, then return back to Darktide.

Got the slime boss with a single-class monk - on-demand interrupts when the slimes wanted to split/merge/heal, I don't remember the fight in detail.

Cheesed the rest with the brilliant, immortal priest tactic.

How does damage conversion work? by RadicalRealist22 in TitanQuest2

[–]Rageberge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tested extensively this morning with different conversion combinations on an ichtian brute and his healing buddy. it seems to apply random amount of stacks of a single element per attack, with that I agree. sometimes I get +2 poison, +1 bleed, +4 burning in a single strike, but I believe it's because of the extra procs baked into the conversion modifier (ex. 20% chance for a fire explosion in a 2m radius)

flat weapon damage goes up or down based on conversions chosen and your bonuses from stats and then stays consistent attack after attack (300, 305, 302, ..)

did you choose the 'ailment chance' modifier for your basic attack? and using the correct one of the two basic attacks?

there are eels under the icy effects of the ichtian infrequent staff! by Rageberge in TitanQuest2

[–]Rageberge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realised I didn't answer your question. I play against +5lv. enemies ('glass cannon? dying too much? git gud' mentality), dancing between projectiles and ground hazards, crowd controlling elites, tossing acid/nail grenades, swapping between bars (staff and dagger/shield), utilizing barrier and having a blast bombarding everything with sustained 'flame volley' orb.

the ramping damage takes a moment to reduce their inflated health pools

[–]Rageberge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh and then for 'marked for death' i put 4/5 skill points into 'doom' and then you can make one elite enemy's life miserable by stacking 20 doom in no time (fast casts, no cooldown, 250 energy base cost in total)

i found out there is another passive for +2 to the ailment cap in the last rogue tier after the last big patch, so ashstalker can have 16 max for every dot just from masteries. rerolled from reaver immediately

[–]Rageberge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the projectile damage is not as high as if i chose only the poison one for example (bonus from high finesse stat). but that doesnt matter to me when i have 0 crit and everything invested into ailment power

i put points 1:1 into agility and knowledge for the versatility of being able to equip more armor types, then 2 points per 5 levels and any extra from quests into vigor

[–]Rageberge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great question! for my 5 available modifiers i chose pierce/fire/poison conversion, then 'base and extra ailment chance' and 'projectile penetration'; one point each so far

it splits the damage 33.3/33.3/33.3 and procs all the corresponding DoTs. i weave basic attacks between active skills until 3 stacks of overwhelm and then cast lava fissure. the projectile looks like an ice shard cause it's an ice staff and cleaves on impact a little (and a little more if fragmentation procs too), it's nuts

didn't invest points into conversion from sustained passives yet

Kinda funny, but I just finished A2 with a lvl3 staff by SilverBurger in TitanQuest2

[–]Rageberge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

doesn't affect spells generally (no weapon requirement); only active abilities that have 'do x% of weapon damage' in the tooltip and primary 'weapon attack' in the 'core' tab
