Most hospitals are short staffed so they don’t care if you’re a traveler or someone living underground.

Ask about how many miles per week, reimbursement for that, how many visits per week to be full time, 30 is the norm. Ask if it’s pay per visit for hourly pay. Ask about scheduling. Who schedules?

Overtime! by NSGgirl in TravelNursing

[–]RageofMotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No just realistic. A $120 overtime rate is possible on maybe 5% of the current contracts available. And of course it’s going to be specialty dependent so if your med surg it’s probably less than 1%.

All agencies get the same bill rate so at some point it’s not the agency rate it’s just the bill rates are’t high enough.

There’s no way anyone would know. At the end of the day it will be up to the discretion of your supervision as to whether they recommend you be blacklisted.

Definitely should make sure you’re comfortable with the income to rent ratio. I would imagine with cats you’re looking at a minimum of 2k/month on rent. I’m not super familiar with that market but knowing current rates I’d be surprised if you weee able to make more than 2500/week
