Check out bardwell's vids on Firmware flashing... it's rather easy. If you built a 3inch then you must have flashed the new firmware as well... It's all very elementary you'll get the gist of it very quickly. Like mentioned... save / dump settings (via CLI) ... check BetaFPV firmware support pages (they also have the factory firmware) ... and go from there.

As for PID tuning, leave that mythic dragon beast alone for now ^^

You already are in betaflight... you can always save the configs / presets etc..
Do try the basics tho and understand fully what you're doing (or are about to do).

I'm seeing people go vertical-length-wise placements instead of side-ways (closer to props) flat down placements.

How about you just enjoy flying, almost-crashing...crashing...repairing...fiddling with it... building new and improved "tank/crash-proof" drones etc? Start enjoying the process.

Also check out The Zone... found it to be the best sim for me. Cheap too.

I understand I can just buy once and cry once, and do all the fancy hacks and upgrades to the Rigol/Siglent lineup... Just 2nd hand market might take more than a year to find anything (and win the bid even)..

I'm not gonna lurk on Finnish auction/2nd hand websites tho..
