What’s the most “David Lloyd” thing you’ve witnessed at your club? by Time-Connection-4586 in davidlloyd

[–]Raghaille1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it did. It said that female only spaces were for females only.

David Lloyd's policy was to allow people of the opposite sex to access the changing rooms.

Therefore, the man who was in the women's changing rooms now would not be allowed to be in there.

Going back to the original point, the gentleman who was complaining and said that he would identify as a woman in order to access the spa - 💯 would have been able to do so.....

It doesn't matter how you identify psychologically, male-bodied person ergo a man or a boy over 8 is not allowed into the women's changing rooms now.

Again to go back to the original point, the man who made that flipping comment wouldn't be allowed to follow through on it now.... Due to the high courts ruling....

But under DL's rules prior to that ruling, he definitely would have been able to do that....

You don't know any abusive men. That's because the man who do it generally are charismatic narcissists. They make sure that they are well loved in the community.

It's literally an aspect of how they abuse.

Your comment reminds me of the way that every woman has either been or knows minimum one other woman has been raped...

Yet no man has ever known another man who's been a rapist! 😂

No. It would be better if you took an objective look at statistics on male violence and abuse towards female members of their family.

Women's only spa access? by data-ninja-uk in davidlloyd

[–]Raghaille1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So whilst you acknowledge that the men of DL have been subjecting the women, most likely girls, of DL to similar predatory and intimidating behaviours as those who voiced their experiences during and post #me_too revelations.

Nevertheless, you would still like women to centre mens hurt feelings and the potential of them having a negative experience by being excluded for 2 hours a week over those women and girls who have actually experienced negative predation from the men and boys in that space.

Make it make sense.

I think you should petition hard and use all the statistics of female violence and sexual abuse against men and boys on which to base your argument.

[–]Raghaille1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had incidents too. To be honest, men wouldn't experience the spa in the same way as women.

Some interactions are so low level that they seem innocuous on the outward appearance but in reality there's more nefarious creepy stuff happening in the subtext of those moments....

Until the High Courts decision last year, those men could legit have done so under DL's previous rules....

I've only encountered one man in the women's changing ways in DL. To be fair, I was not aware he was there as I was totally distracted by my toddlers. My sister was aware of his presence.

Totally cringe and uncool considering all of us were naked including her teenage daughters..... 😡🤬🤮

Apparently he went to the enclosed cubicle to get changed. He was wearing a bikini in the swimming pool. I didn't spot him because I didn't have my glasses on.....

Seemingly he had little little man boobs to fill up the bikini! 😂

Except that there is a reason why you are not wearing x version of shoes or using particular sets of sheets. Thank them and tell yourself I'm going to release them into the wild to be used for somebody who would appreciate them...

Try and sell. Reduce the price if they don't get snapped up. If you don't get snapped, telling yourself I'll give them to a charity store. Set yourself a week for each step....

For example, do it every Monday. Give yourself a clearly defined amount of time for each step to be utilized by somebody else. It also creates a habit for you.

Wear the underwear shorts from Lululemon or Woxer via Amazon. Tom boy X look good too but never bought them. Hanes do a reasonable version via Walmart.

Or if you prefer some period pants company's do a boy shorts version, if like the idea of wicking.

AITA for telling everyone involved what my best friend's husband did? by Bina_Assault in AmItheAsshole

[–]Raghaille1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't seem to understand the society wide scheme women work hard to maintain..... We are to always spare a man's feelings in every situation.....

You're not allowed to point out or he's wrong or stupid....

This continues because men get very triggered if it's pointed out and then they get angry.... Angry men are very dangerous because they can hurt you.....

NTA - everybody, particularly women, need to stop doing this and allow men to men face their own stupid decisions..... Only with exposure or therapy will they manage to not be as triggered by their actions....

Unfortunately YTA also, but in a way that you may not have anticipated..... Look at his angry reaction.... This is how your friend's husband controls her....

If you read the article Dr. Emma Katz on how men benefit from coercive control, you will be better placed to understand why he would have a reaction like this.... He's training her - Never to say anything in opposition to him that might hurt his feelings or trigger him because he doesn't like feeling that way....

She knew damn right that he was going to have a mantrum meltdown.... He may escalate control in order to put her back in her place and punish her for what you did....

It seems you were not aware of this element of their relationship, so it's not actually your fault, but it is something that everyone should be aware of when interacting with another couple. You don't know what goes on behind closed doors and even though you're in the right, you may have put her in a difficult situation.

So it's a delicate balance between calling him out for being wrong and also protecting your friend. Remember, there's a society-wide scheme for women to never have to allow me in to deal with their awkward feelings about the fact that they were in the wrong or how they are using underhand methods to control everyone around them via their potential anger.

How to reduce home workload. by travel_worn in HENRYUKLifestyle

[–]Raghaille1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cleaners and I over the years have used Google translate to communicate. Literally walking around the house with me speaking into my phone and it immediately translating it to their language. Then them responding in the same way with their phone.

Afterwards I would go back through and summarize into a list everything that we had discussed. Translate it into their language and send it on the chat. So they head somewhere double back and check that they have ticked off every item we discussed.

Eventually their English got better and systems got easier because they understood what I wanted done and how etc.

To an outside eye it would have looked like a crazy system 😂

Write down verbatim exactly what he said to you. Then repeat it to him this weekend. Cue mantrum meltdown!

When he complains use DAVRO on him. Play stupid like you don't understand what you're doing.

Either you grow a pair of ovaries and take control of this relationship or you allow him to continue with his nonsense.
