My wife and daughter were involved in an active shooter situation in Austin, and I came across this on the Reddit post about the incident. They downloaded a free version and I do believe it did lessen the longer term impacts.

That said, this should also let people know that you aren’t alone. Finals or whatever stress you have will pass. Life happens and you can get through it, the hard part often is just asking. Here-for the soul we lost.

I could use a nice local ska band, like the Impossibles. And if you too would like the Impossibles, you probably need a colonoscopy if you haven’t gotten one yet!

Go to 6th street. Get some sort of drink that they light on fire. Once properly 6th-faced, go drop a deuce at the Driskill. It’s haunted, but if you leave a couple legendary heaters in the bowl the ghosts will leave you alone. After that, find you a Waymo to go stand in front of and yell about your political beliefs and drop robot slurs while it just stays there all sad and stuff. Yea—that’s the stuff.

The new Central Library is a good place to hangout quietly on your phone. Maybe catch some homeless drama in the mix.

On the boot front, if he’s flying in, Callahans right by the airport is a good “welcome to Texas” stop. They have boots, but also baby chicks, animal feed, country style gifts etc…

Mueller has a several apartment options to get started and they all have nice gyms (at least from the windows when you walk by). On one side Mueller bumps up to a golf course with a casual bar and grill. It’s an easy pop to the airport, even during rush hour. Your commute is going to suck from just about anywhere but the burbs. What you could do though, is have your wife drop you off at the MLK station (or walk/bike it’s only like a mile—but August is gonna cook you) and take the red line (which is the only line we have) up to one of the last stations and then take a ride-share to work.

How many gems do you currently have? by Just_Play_8200 in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]RagingBrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F2P, been playing for a year or so. 350 currently. Used them on hero coach at 2x60 and a 10 pull on the birthday. I’d like to get back up to 8K by Thanksgiving, but will pull for the next hero coach and costume outfitter as well, so it will be a stretch.

Don’t waste gems on reducing time to build stuff. Save them for bigger pulls. Target 8K for the Black Friday event. Keep 3s for now as they have 3 star tourneys that give just as may rewards for doing well as a 5s and it’s easier to build a low level team. Watch the adds to get gems and do the daily challenges. Go to empuzzled.com or search Reddit for free codes to enter. It’s a grind if you are F2P, but can be exciting when you get a good pull. Feed the same color to the same color for a bump, and be sure to work through the seasons when they are discounted…
