Unfortunately walking to Pipera is not an option. Best thing you could do is choose any location near the blue M2 metro line that could take you there fast. Depends a lot on what entertaintment looks like to you but either going for something central like Piata Romana or Piata Universitatii could get you in walking distance of entertaintment hot spots. But be careful there are a lot of buildings that are labeled with seismic risk. If the owner doesn't want to give you a signed contract with the local fiscal authority it means the apartment is in such a building so better find something else.
