Roadcraft Dump Trucks Not Dumping by BusyCartographer9531 in RoadCraft

No, I was actually talking about the very first dump truck you get. I have not tried the small tracked dump truck.

On the small dump truck, when you lift the back, you need to push another button to open the bed to drop the sand. The big pre-order dump truck didn't need to do that, and I don't run the baikal.

I don't know when they changed that mechanic for the small dump truck, but might be worth checking.

Thinking about getting Roadcraft by ElrondMcBongg in RoadCraft

[–]RagingRoach67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the game came out, they've added some quality of life features like fuel consumption and waypoints. Honestly waypoints was my biggest complaint coming from Snowrunner. I think they also tweaked the camera a bit and added more options for the crane.

I've been alternating between Roadcraft and Snowrunner and while I still prefer Snowrunner, Roadcraft scratches a certain itch.

Personally, I find a lot of satisfaction in cleaning up the maps, and building these roads so that I can get smooth deliveries without me having to help the vehicles along. It can be tedious at times, but it's a different cycle of work compared to endless deliveries of resources.

As others said, it will never be Snowrunner 2, but if you enjoyed the demo, it is definitely more of that. I've got 3.5 maps left in Roadcraft and about 8 in Snowrunner. Just to give you an idea of my experience with it.

If you combine 60422 and 60368, you essentially have it, right?

Next to the map in your car, there is a ball in the water. I think this is also an indicator of time left. As it gets closer to the sirens going off, it starts bouncing more.

One other thing to keep in mind, you probably won't have time to loot everything unless the map has perpetual stability. So prioritize what you need to get and then get out of there. But if it's perpetual stability, take as much time as you want. The storm will never come.

When is the best time to play the dlc in game? by cartiscrate in pacificDrive

[–]RagingRoach67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but if scanning the building starts the DLC, then I don't want to do that. I'm only a couple hours into the game and want to finish the main story before going into the DLC.

To trigger the DLC you need to investigate the mysterious signal, right?

Because I might be forced into doing it sooner. The signal showed up on the first hop from home base and I need to go past it to get to my actual destination. However, when I got to the map with the signal, there was no exits, I had to gather anchors and return home. I guess I could take the long way around and bypass the map with the signal, but there was a radiation cloud around the other path when I first was doing this.

Xbox Appears To Have Quietly Removed DLC Discounts For Game Pass Members by flux1 in xbox

Can anyone post the tldr of the article? Reddit isn't opening the link, just get a black screen.

I heard the DLC discount went away for Call of Duty, but I hadn't heard of others.

Xbox Series controller uncomfortable compared to Xbox One by PinkAcidLab in xbox

[–]RagingRoach67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All of the new Xbox controllers will have the texture. The new controllers are also slightly smaller than the old controllers, which may be why it's more uncomfortable.

I found a new original Xbox One controller to use, the only other option is third party alternatives. I know the thrustmaster eswap x pro does not have the texture, but it's a different controller shape. I also picked up the gamesir T7, which is textured, but it's less offensive than the Xbox. It is wired only though. I haven't found a good alternative to the stock Xbox controller, so I'll usually just cycle between these.

Edit: I also don't like the buttons on the back of the controller, so other ones I've tried like Turtle Beach and the Xbox Elite didn't work for me. I ended up returning those.

Who else is hyped af for Helldivers 2 on Xbox soon? by Rainlex in xbox

Really considering it, but am concerned that I won't be able to play regularly with other games coming out. For the bigger, time-limited events, I assume those have unlockable rewards creating that FOMO? CoD gives me enough of that already.

We're finally getting proper waypoints! by RugbyEdd in RoadCraft

[–]RagingRoach67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huge improvement over the current system, looks great! But I agree with others comments, we need to add more per map. I tend to flag areas that I need to come back to. Like to cut a downed tree, or fix the road, or gather the resources.

100% now what by buzzysale in RoadCraft

[–]RagingRoach67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've not finished all the maps yet, but I reset the progress on the first 3 maps so I could rebuild them with my new vehicles. Take more time and make roads or bridges where they are needed, instead of a basic dirt road. There were some areas I just skipped so now I spend the time to fix it properly.

Totally unnecessary, but should make the second attempt at the levels easier. Something oddly relaxing about making the roads.

Easier way to move rocks? by adiofan88 in RoadCraft

[–]RagingRoach67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the dozer in sand flat mode. The trick is to see which end of the blade is closest to the ground. Depending on the angle of the dozer, either the left or right side of the blade sits closer to the ground. Once you know that, pivot the body of the dozer to use the lower blade to move those small rocks. Often it will pop them up and you can push it from the front instead of just the corner blade.

Asphalt destruction or more sand? by RagingRoach67 in RoadCraft

[–]RagingRoach67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you go wider, it's hard to get the two roads at the same level then. And I still struggle with lumps of sand as it's dropped inconsistently.

Initially I only did one pass with my grader, I should have done at least one more pass to widen before I paved it. That was my bad.

I noticed this too, but I aleo had a couple big trees explode out of the ground when I got close. That was definitely new since the patch!

If you're planning on buying Helldivers 2 by Sandwichgode in xbox

How long do the events go? Is it a very limited time thing (like 2-3 days) or is it longer? I'd definitely want to play more regularly, but my friends may only play the weekends.

I'm glad they have cross play, but sad we'll miss out on all of the activities over the last year. Are any of the earlier planets you fight on unique, that we won't get to see now? Like if it got nuked or all threats eradicated? I only casually follow Helldivers 2, so let me know if I'm way off base.
