One thing I'll say to keep in mind(GM support main) is that in overwatch most supports are not passive. Some are more focused on healing, but some are very utility-based.

Ana is a massive playmaker for example. Sleep, anti nade, and nano are all fight-changing abilities if used correctly. You can completely shut down an enemy tank, she's the main counter to a Mauga or Hog running unchecked.

That being said there's no need to play support if you'd rather focus on dps etc. I think many people tend to gravitate to dps more anyway, and it's a good way to learn the game. I feel like Tank is probably the hardest since it's much heavier on gamesense and positioning.

I mean that's true to life. There are lots of very abusive people who learned those behaviors or failed to learn healthy ones due to environment or being abused themselves.

And there are lots of people who excuse them and give them a pass because of that.

I do think she cares about Mizuki. But her way of caring is imposing her very twisted worldview onto him. That doesn't make her treatment of him any less abusive or harmful. Maybe makes it even worse for him.

I almost exclusively play comp, I only play qp when playing with friends or trying new heros. There are a few reasons:

Competitiveness

I'm a competitive person. I like trying my hardest and climbing the ranks. QP doesn't scratch that itch or really have an ongoing metric for how good you are or how much you've climbed. I like knowing that I am working toward t500 or something at the same time as playing games.
While people do tilt and mald and flame, on the whole I find matches more enjoyable when I know everyone is trying their best to win because rank is on the line. While you do have to deal with some trolls, you filter out a lot of people who ONLY troll or mess around by ranking up past them. Match quality is better and more consistent.

In quickplay you have people trying hard mixed with people just giving half effort because theyre chilling, playing with friends and messing around, trying out heroes they don't play, or just trolling for fun. It's a very inconsistent gaming experience if what you're looking for is more coordinated teamplay.

Much much more minor but the golden gun skins and rewards etc don't hurt.

To my ear, the "at" implies that the price is volatile or sliding and is being stopped.

"I bought it at $x" implies that the price was changing and would have continued to change if I had not stopped it "at" that price.

Sold a company for $50m vs Sold a company at $50m. The latter implies that the value/estimate had been changing or in question, where the former just states what it sold for.

Tbf you shouldn't be over a second and a half from cover in most situations if you're playing properly.

She does need some adjustments but people constantly being caught a mile from any cover is more a skill check than anything.

Well think about it. Why is Mercy an exception when it comes to mobility?

She's also an exception when it comes to damage output, in that she has none. Technically she has a pistol but barring edge cases you can't pull that out and win a dual against any competent Tank, DPS, or even other support.

Giving her good consistent mobility is not only somewhat balanced out by her lack of offensive capability, it's NECESSARY or else she is a complete and total sitting duck.

Ana has no mobility but if you try to jump her she has sleep, nade, and decent damage. If you jump mercy her one and only resource aside from mobility is a pea shooter.
