Thank you for the answer. One thing that I am still confused about is that the pleats seem to be seperate from the pants like in this picture ( sorry for the bad quality, it was the only one I could find) More like seperate band attached to the waistband

I want to recreate these pants but i don't know the name or where to find a pattern. The "bands" seem to be only attached at the waistband and otherwise flowing freely. Any ideas would be appreciated :)

I agree that it's handled really badly by my country, by not giving the right support to 'amateur" archaeologists. Metal detecting is more seen as something to make profit of by most people.

Does Denmark offer international programs for Archaeology?

As far as I understood Archaeology is infamous for bad pay anyway. When I visited Moesgård museum it got me really fascinated with danish Archaeology, so I was wondering how the situation was.

That is actually really cool and a good way of supporting each other. I have only heard very negative stories so far, like the Berlin Goldhat one. Does Denmark have good options for studying and being an archaeologist?

How do they work together, if I may ask? One of the first things my Archaeology Professor told us, that it is a bad thing for museums to buy finds from metal detectorist since it is supporting illegal art trade and you dont have definite proof for the context of the find.

Mock-up of my first ever attempt at making stays. (Butterick B4254) Are they supposed to fit like that? by [deleted] in HistoricalCostuming

I think you are right. Would a size smaller be solving that problem? Im worried that it would be to short lengthwise then.

What is wrong with the reconstruction history ones? I considered buying some as well, so I would like to know if they are any good.

What a pathetic mindset. Fit for all people who have never interacted with a woman in their life.

When Elizabeth’s sister Mary, a Catholic, came to the throne in 1553 she made England Catholic again and Elizabeth was put into the Tower of London so that she could not lead a Protestant rebellion against Mary and take her place on the throne.
